Microfiber sheets hold up as or better than cotton sheets??
I've been using the cotton sheets for two years that the color has been faded. Thus I decide to buy a new one. My mattress is so deep that it is difficult to find a fitted sheet for it. Recommended this Microfiber sheets actually has extra pocket. I have never used this similar materail. I don't know whether it's good fabric. Have you ever tried this? Anything to tell me?
Not necessarily. Microfiber sheets are extremely durable and usually thinner than high-thread count cotton sheets. Both are soft and comfortable if the quality is good. Microfiber is less apt to pill or get fuzzy, but both will fade over time w/ washing. Tightly woven mercerized cotton doesn't fuzz over time, so cotton sheets like percale or sateen with a 200 or higher thread count are best. Microfiber can come from both natural or synthetic fibers, and the thread is extremely fine for a tight weave, so the feel is not scratchy. It can shrink, but this is less likely than cotton unless the cotton was pre-shrunk. Buy the best you can reasonably afford and look for those with extra deep pockets for today's thicker mattresses. I hope this is helpful:)
