I'm so excited! I bought some caffea arabica seeds on ebay last September and planted them as instructed. I was warned they are slow to germinate and may take up to six months to germinate. Well, six months passed and NOTHING. Luckily I didn't throw the pot out, because today, one has sprouted!!
It took 10 months, but hey, one baby is here. Now to wait and see if the other 9 will think of growing...
Wow, let us know if you ever get any beans! I'm still learning about growing basic stuff like tomatoes and courgettes.
Oh my its a long way from flowering, its first two leaves still have a coffee bean hat on!
I believe they are self-fertilising and so I only need one to produce flowers and later coffee beans. But it'll have to survive the cold of winter here (inside my house was less than 5C most days last winter) and I think it could be 5 years or more before it flowers. But we'll see.
