Sunflower Rugs - Grounding Your Space
Rugs work well to ground your space and warm bare floors while adding to your room's ambiance. I've included a sampling of country decor with the round, braided sunflower rug. Place the rug at bedside to cushion your feet as your step out of bed. Its country colors have the earthy tones I talked about earlier, rounded out in a deep, barn red.
The bright yellow rectangular rug has the large sunflowers more fitting of a contemporary palette but can work in a more conservative bedroom decor.
Whichever genre you choose be careful not to flood the room with sunflowers at every nook and cranny. A few large pieces work better in your space than does lots of small trinkets competing for space and attention. Using too many like elements dilutes the strength of your key pieces. Less is more.
