GRATUITOUS ~ David Beckham

Updated on August 14, 2008

Every situation has changed me as a person.

The strong, silent type conjures up images of David Beckham for me. Quiet confidence and a magnetic presence can sometimes define a man. But with Beckham, there seems to be so much more. Mystery makes a man very sexy. Although, he's somewhat a controversial player, through worries his temper sometimes overides his superior skills. There is no doubt David Beckham is a force of magnitude. During the World Cup in 2002 against Argentina, Beckham proved his extraordinary ability through a penalty kick that ultimately won victory for England. The country he will forever claim his loyalty. For now, he has accepted his place in the L.A. Galaxy major league soccer team. Walking away with a 250 million dollar contract to be paid over 5 years. Ring that up along with a multitude of other significantly compensated contracts and his own cologne for men "Instinct" and you might say the Beckham dynasty is growing rather nicely.

Born on May 2, 1975 and considered to be one of the best soccer players of all time, David Robert Joseph Beckham rose to an iconic fame on the strength of his game and the irresistable attraction of his too-die for good looks. Married since July 4, 1999 to the sophisticated and lovely Victoria Beckham. Who, in her own right, also rose to superstardom as "Posh Spice" of the extremely successful band "Spice Girls". Best known for preaching to millions of adolescent girls the message of girl power, the Spice Girls exploded onto the music scene and have recently done a reunion tour. Together they began a fairytale that included three adorable boys Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz. Could life be any more perfect?

Living a somewhat storybook life, but on a much grander scale, it's hard to imagine that David has had to endure anything more than the occasional hang nail. This has turned out to be a fallacy. Life can be hard for an adonis footballer. Just ask Victoria. Paparazzi stalkers, viscious disgruntled soccer fans and the occasional fame hungary vixen. All obessively trying to tear down the utopia the Beckhams have tried to build.

A married millionaire Beckham hasn't seemed to stop women from swooning at the sight of the hard-playing David shirtless and glistening. A shining wedding band always in clear view doesn't seem to have an impact either. Women seem to be unaware or blatantly not care that the ridiculously lucky Victoria Beckham faithfully waits in the wings. After all, family men are always so much sexier. For the most part Victoria has been the trusting doting wife. It's not always been easy though trusting the golden boy charmer. David was accused more than a few times for having illicit and long lasting love affairs. At least one of these accusations proved to be true, and almost split this perfect couple apart for good. But, alas, Victoria is no dummy and quickly managed damage control in the sexiest possible way. The two went on a romantic vacation to rekindle, reignite and recement the sanctity of real wedded bliss. ::sigh:: and with a man so incredibly delicious, the two will (should) live happily ever ever after more.

Everyone's been so quick to say that I'm really thick or I haven't got a brain. People will think whatever they want to think.

I am happier now than I have ever been.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I don't think I'm really in a situation to complain, because I consider myself to be privileged to be doing what I do.

I still look at myself and want to improve.

I have got this obsessive compulsive disorder where I have to have everything in a straight line, or everything has to be in pairs.

My private life is perfect. If your private life and your life outside football is good, then it is good on the field for you.

When you have kids you do grow up. I have just started realising it now-it changes the world, having children.

I love little kids looking up to me, young players looking up to me, respecting me.

The buzz is still with me. I get goose bumps.

We've been asked to do 'Playboy' together, me and Victoria, as a pair. I don't think I'll ever go naked, but I'll never say never.

Tom cruise, he's a lot more famous than me.

Nothing amazes me anymore.

"It's scary to read things like that, you know, being the best player in England, but it gives me confidence. I'm not going to go around shouting about things t
