Make Your Own Money At Home - Writing With Hub Pages

Updated on June 1, 2012

What Is Hub Pages

When I first came across Hub Pages it was merely due to my fondness of perusing online everyday information. I am so glad I decided to click further on someones article and create my own account. Hub Pages is basically a website that allows you to create your own articles and get paid for people viewing your links and advertisements. I have to admit, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing for the first couple of days. It wasn't until I really began to navigate the site that I suddenly began to understand how much excellent functionality it really has. Once you learn the basic ins and outs of creating an interesting Article, there are so many other things to utilize with the Hub Pages system.

The 'Learning Center' will be your Bible, so to speak. Not a day has gone by in my first couple of months here, where I have not learned something completely new to advance my hub performances. Hub Pages has created an Article that is exceptional at helping beginners get started. Be sure to check out the helpful page link below first, and remember to peruse the Learning Center resource as well as other hubbers' posts regarding their newbie experiences. I know for myself, I am still learning every day.

HelpfulTraffic Tips

The people at Hub Pages are so welcoming and helpful, that along with the Hub Pages Learning Center, you're questions will most-likely all be answered. However, getting traffic to your hub pages can sometimes take a little time to master. Within a few months, you should have a much better grasp on how to keep your site traffic as high as you can. I am amazed at what I have learned in only two months.

Here are the traffic resources I began with. They not only produced my traffic, but they helped me to understand how search engines work a little better as well. Being that they are all FREE is always welcoming also:

  1. - Very easy to post your hub links on this site.
  2. - An article writing account also, where you can post all of your hub page links.
  3. - Start your own niche blogs where you can post your grouped hub page links.

Some of the above do have certain guidelines and restrictions, so I suggest you read those first once you are on the site. Be sure to access the hubpage statistics and traffic report capabilities, so you can find out what is working and what needs altering.

Creating your Affiliate accounts and configuring each program may seem overwhelming at first. Don't let it discourage you, as the Learning Center will explain those steps in detail as well. Their instructions are very easy to understand, and there are always the question & answer forums to assist you if you get stuck on something.

Most of all, enjoy your writing and make new acquaintances. The Hub Page community is unlike any web group I've ever come across. Good Luck!

You are welcome and I certainly didn't mean anything about the number of followers other than I was surprised that you didn't have many. I think you are a good writer who will get better with time and practice and I'm glad I'm following you.

      Thank you billybuc :)

You were the first one to ever welcome me here! I appreciate your kind words. You are a little right about the 'not caring too much' part, but I should probably work on that lol. Thank you for following me and reading my hubs! I still have alot to learn ;)

It is indeed a great community! We have to do something about getting you more followers. You write well and shouldn't be writing in relative obscurity! Or maybe you don't care which is certainly okay too! Anyway, I'm glad I'm following you and nice job on this hub!
