9 ways to save your money & have less Grocery Budget
These days food bill is cutting big part of our income, & we struggle for paying it.
As an accountant & householder, I use some techniques to reduce my food bill.
I would like to share you, so maybe you find something new & useful.
1- Eat what you afford to pay:
From my point of view, it is not correct that whenever I would like to eat a specific dish, I go to market and buy its components whatever the price; for me I buy the food that has been reasonably priced.
Sometimes I change my dish because one main component is highly priced.
2- Don't buy vegetables & fruits out of its season;
It will be costly, less healthy, less quality.
3- Follow the offers for food:
Buy good offers but avoid my mistake, do not buy more quantity than you need, so you will find yourself running to consume it before being damaged.
4- Learn a new variety of recipes:
So your choices will increase & you can be more flexible when you buy your food.
5- Don’t let the offers cheat you:
Always make the needed calculations, even if you use your mobile in the market, to make sure that you are getting a good offer.
6- Consume the needed time to check that you don’t take damaged items, I prefer if you are in hurry don’t buy vegetables & fruits.
7- Be kind with fresh food: Do not catch a plastic bag & throw the apples inside it hardly; otherwise apples will become mushy and will be damaged quickly.
8- Check before consuming: when you consume fresh food, check for the piece which about to be damaged if there, (This will save it & save the pieces beside it), don’t take the nearest one to your hand, then after one day throw the damaged one away.
9- For canned food take care of expiry date when you buy & when you consume.
