Instructions/advice on how to track your US Savings Bonds.

The US Treasury department makes available free of charge, a savings bond wizard, directly downloadable from their website.

With the savings bond wizard, you can:

· Manage your savings bonds.

· Print your savings bond inventory.

· Find the redemption value of your bonds.

· Find the interest your bonds have earned.

The best part about this is the Savings Bond Wizard is absolutely free and can be downloaded from the following website:

http://www.treasurydirect.gov/indiv/tools/tools_savingsbondwizard.htm

Once installed on your computer, you can start entering each one of your savings bonds by serial number and date of issue, and the software will automatically tell you the interest and current value of your individual bonds as well as your entire portfolio of bonds. The software will track and manage your US Savings bonds.

Below is a screen shot from the Savings Bond Wizard, where 15 separate Bonds have been entered. Once you enter all your Savings Bonds, reports exist where you can print out your entire portfolio of bonds, including their current value of all your bonds. Interest rates can be updated on a regular basis.
