Do you think 'frugal' means cheap?
What are your thoughts on men being 'savers?'

When you hear Frugal + Men, what kind of impression does it leave? Negative or Positive?

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

    Discuss.

I think it is a positive thing. As opposed to "cheap", I find that "frugal" implies a sense of practicality with money and the ability to decide when it's appropriate to spare no expense and when to tighten your belt. For example, I am a man who saves a lot of money shopping in used clothing stores and denying myself mobile phone service but who also would never offer the host of a dinner party cheap wine or feed my family with substandard groceries.

For me, frugality is not only about being able to save money, but also being able to use money in cases where too much thriftiness would be inappropriate.
