Recently in the news there was a man who saved pennies. He never paid for things with a penny, rather, broke a dollar every time he bought something. If you translate this to be the change from a dollar, put the change in a jar every night when you go to bed. You will be amazed at the results.
Also, you can forego the soda when you buy a fast food meal and contribute that dollar plus change into the jar. Put the jar away and forget about it for a while other than to contribute.
We went on vacation with the results of this method.
LOL It would take me 50 years to accumulate enough by foregoing a soda at fast food meals to accumulate enough to take a small vacation. By which time it will buy a tank of gas!
But the idea is sound; give up small things and put the money for it away.
If you have $0 in savings you can easily double it by doing this one weird trick.
