I go about getting a loan?
How high is your cosigner's score, and is yours a composite score or a score from a single credit bureau? Some banks will take an average score or the top two, while others merely check their bureau of choice and look no further. Also, do you have any collections or judgments on your report (No, you don't have to answer here, these are for you to think about for yourself)? Even if a collection account is paid, many lenders still won't lend as long as it shows on the report. As for how you go about getting the loan, I think http://www.hud.gov is probably the best way to find out, though most of those programs go directly through banks or other lending institutions, in which case you'll want to ask a loan officer at your bank of choice and they can fill in the details. Hope this helps!
