Have you ever earned enough cash from a garage sale to pay a bill or two?
Yes. I've done several and what seemed junk to me sold well enough to pay for a couple of bills. Just make sure you're signage is big and readable to bring you a lot of traffic. Furniture and appliances sell well.
Sort of. I bought an old tea sevice set for cheap decoration, and it turned out to be real silver. I sold it for a nice chunk of change. When I went back to find the seller, to offer them a fair share of the unexpected profit, the house was empty and a "For Sale" sign was in the yard.
