Here's one way to take the mileage for a doctor visit. Take a flyer or business card with you about your business (make the flyer about whatever it is you do for a living - copywriter, etc . . . ) and post it to your doctors lobby or lunchroom bulletin board. Have lunch too and write off all expenses - including parking.
Yes. The mileage rate for medical is different from the mileage rate for business or charity and all change at least once a year - sometimes twice.
