Is my 20 year old daughter eligible for the American Opportunity tax credit
My daughter is 20 years old and pays her own tuition if I do not claim her as a dependent is she eligible for the american opportunity tax credit. She only paid $232 in federal taxes last year. Turbo tax says she is eligible HR Block says she is not.
