Where can I find the amount paid in interest for 2010 on my home mortgage
Wella Fargo Home Mortgage, Loan #0268993789 Property Address: 11166 Beaton Ct. san Diego, CA 92126 I need this information to file my taxes
The financial institution is required to send you a statement indicating the total interest you paid on your mortgage. If you did not receive a statement, look at your monthly statement that comes in the mail and call the help or support phone number. They will either send you a duplicate statement or tell you how to print one out from the internet.
Wells Fargo should have sent you a tax form that shows the amount of interest paid for the year. If you have online account access, it may also be included there along with your monthly statements (if you have access to them in electronic format.) Otherwise I'd suggest giving them a call and telling them you didn't receive it.
