What is the best way to buy real gold and silver?
I don't want to put my money in a mutual fund, ETF, etc. which gives me a piece of paper. I want to buy real tangible solid gold or silver. Where or who should I buy from?
You would be better saving you money and waiting for the economy to pick up. When the economy is low gold and silver prices go through the roof.
daskittlez, that's a good point that I hadn't really considered. I wanted to diversify the meager investments that I currently have by purchasing precious metals. However, I may have missed the boat. Most of the PM mutual funds I have looked at are at record highs since the economy went in the tank. Obviously that won't last forever and it's never adviseable to invest at the top of the market.
Best way is with Gold and Silver Eagles directly from the US Mint.
Buying gold or silver online would be more beneficial to you. Recently I purchased gold from Gold Recycling Centre online in the UK.
