If Expedia offers Affiliate Income - what would be your expectations for the travel industry?
Affiliate income has been seen everywhere except widely promoted in the airline industry and yet flights are a big ticket item. What are your predictions for this vital global industry?
I was under the impression that they did offer affiliate Commissions. Just check out fatwallet.com they offer cash back on certain travel sites which means they do offer some sort of affiliate program.
If this comes to pass, I would be all for it and surely get involved straightaway. I have written many Travel Hubs and most comments involve people saying they hope to go to these places and see them for themselves.
I am not sure how if would effect the travel industry. Most people long to travel. Only by bringing down the cost would more people travel more than they do. A company who does this first though would have a decided advantage over its competitors.
I don't get it. Expedia stated they no longer offer affiliate income for airlines. I wonder why? Why would hotels work well and not airlines?
