well congratulations and welcome...hopefully that cent will turn into dollars for you..
Thanks Stacie, got a long way to go, a long row to hoe etc...
Its always exciting to see your earnings grow each day...Congratz snakeslane...keep on writing.
Took me 3 months writing on hubpages before someone clicked on one of my ads and I made a whole 11 cents I was so excited I nearly fell off my chair, CONGRATS Snakeslane heres to many more clicks.....jimmy
You could always go to google keyword tool (google it) to see what the cost per click is for your keywords. You will have to sign into googles to see this feature. Go to column on the middle right and click on "aproximate CPC". You will know what your keywords are worth.
lol! I was super excited too, when i saw my first penny too!.. the frustrating part for me is reaching a dollar! still a long ling way to go for me as well...
snakeslane did you make money on adsense or on the hp ads program?
It was the hub pages account. I just set up the adsense late last night. Still not sure if that is running. Got bogged down trying to figure out if I had properly pasted the url, way too complicated for me, but hopefully Mr. Google will let me know. Thanks for encouraging words hubbies (hmmm, just discovered a new meaning for that word, too funny).
from what i understand so far... hub pages pays for impressions... so you will get paid (altho very very little) even if your viewers don't click on your ads... On the other hand, google mostly pays for clicks only so I have had very very little luck with google since, in my experience, people usually don't click on ads.
Thats great! getting a google adsense account is a bit complicated but it good that you have signed up. It's better to have both so you can maximize your earnings.
Congrats! May that penny turn into thousands quicker than you ever imagined!
They trickle in at first....then one day......you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Just checked my account, everything is set up now and active (adsense, analytics) I guess the rest is up to me.
congratulations for being accepted into the google adsense program. Have heard of a lot of people having trouble being accepted. All the best and may you earn many more dollars.
Congrats! Just like you, I'm so happy when I got my first cents too from Hubpages

I've been with HubPages for 4 years and have done well with the HubPages Ad Program and selling things on Amazon, but Google Adsense has been a trickle. I am finally close enough to the $100 payout that My New Year's Resolution Is To Finally Cash Out With Google Adsense! How is Google...

I just received last week my first Google Adsense payout last week May 29, 2009. It took me about ninetenn months to reach my first payout. I started Hubpages first as a writing ministry, most of my hubs are insights from my devotions. They are not much commercial, they are more of religious...

£62.30 deposited directly into my bank account! It's taken a while to get there, 10 months to be exact - and mostly from my Blog, not much from Hubpages yet (but I have only written 13 hubs so far, so that's not unexpected). However, it's still a very nice little sum of money as a 'by-product'...

After writing on Hubpages for 7 months I finally got Google Adsense approval after applying for it every time I wrote a Hub. I've only written 10 Hubs but this will be an incentive to write more given the time & finding topics to write about. I've read of Hubbers waiting for ages to get adsense...

While I link my Adsense account, it directs me to Google, which then asks if I want to accept the association, I say yes, then it directs me back to Hubpages, but it just loads a blank page, nothing comes up. I could not find anything like this in the help section, is there something else I need to...
