My husband rented his home before we were married and BOTH of his first two tenants left with items obviously missing. The good news - his current tenant is wonderful.
Ironically it appears the tenants have changed their phone numbers.
I have taken a complete inventory and wish to file a police report at least for a handful of the items.
The list is quite extensive of what was "taken". It is very apparent the items are more than just conveniently missing.
The second tenant left last April so I am running out of time I feel to do something - IF we decide to report this.
I feel strongly a police report is needed to put these dishonest people "on notice". My husband simply wants to forget that these people were thieves.
I would only go to that trouble of the items are of significant worth and you can prove in court who took them.
