"BIG BROTHER" IN PLACE WITH OUR NORTHERN NEIGHBOR

Alberta’s dangerous database - February 15, 2011

The National Post reports: "When the RCMP were caught many years ago burning down a barn belonging to a family of Quebec separatists — after a judge refused to grant the force permission to wiretap their meeting — Pierre Trudeau shrugged off the incident. If Mounties burning down barns was illegal, the prime minister said dismissively, perhaps he should make it legal for them to burn down barns.

The province is quietly putting together a database for police that is every bit as dangerous to citizens’ liberties as giving police the unwarranted right to destroy private property. The project is called, rather ominously, TALON — as in The Alberta Law Officers’ Network — and it will, according to the solicitor general’s department, allow police quick access to information about ‘persons of interest.’ The trouble is, TALON is designed to keep track not just of Albertans’ criminal records, but also, according to the Calgary Herald, any ‘speculations, unproven allegations, investigation theories, details of 911 calls — virtually any record of a citizen’s contacts with the police’ anywhere in the province. Any officer will be able to dial it up without a supervisor’s permission, warrant, or cause. It is, in other words, a record of any old thing that authorities consider worthwhile keeping track of that can be accessed at any time for any reason by any officer. That kind of police-state-style record keeping might be otherwise ruled unlawful because it is so plainly an unjust violation of citizens’ privacy. To get around that, the province appears to be prepared to simply make gross intrusions perfectly legitimate.

Canadians already tolerate a certain amount of monitoring of personal information by police in the name of fighting the bad guys. The Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) keeps track of criminal records, pending charges, and lists any acquittals and discharges. Questions for the firearms registry go much deeper, including not only what guns a person owns, but also his or her financial circumstances, personal romantic relationships and any history with mental illness.

But databasing unproven allegations, 911 calls and ‘theories’ appears to be new territory. The average citizen stopped by an officer can be compelled to volunteer a lot of information (notice that officers at drunk-driving checkpoints routinely ask you what you’ve been up to that evening) that could, quite conceivably, find its way into the database. And at least CPIC requires officers to furnish a valid reason for running someone’s name through a check. Not TALON…"

Ahmadinejad calls for a Mideast WITHOUT Israel and U.S. - February 11, 2011

Iranian President says Egypt's popular uprising shows a new Middle East is emerging, calls for Egyptians to be allowed to choose gov't.

The Jerusalem Post reports: "Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Egypt's popular uprising shows a new Middle East is emerging, one that will have no signs of Israel and US ‘interference.’

The Iranian president spoke as the country marked the 32nd anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. His remarks came hours after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak refused to step down, angering hundreds of thousands of Egyptians who have been demanding he relinquish his three-decade grip on power.

Ahmadinejad says Egyptians have the right to live in freedom and choose their own government.

Iran crushed opposition protests against Ahmadinejad's disputed 2009 re-election and on Thursday, Iranian opposition leader Mahdi Karroubi was placed under house arrest because of calls for a rally in support of Egyptian protesters…"

IRAN TESTS ANTI-SHIP MISSILES - February 10, 2011

SpaceDaily.com reports: "Tehran announced that it is mass-producing ballistic missiles that can travel three times the speed of sound and hit naval targets on the high seas.

Cmdr. Mohammad Ali Jafari, who heads the elite military force, the Revolutionary Guards, said the missile had a range of 186 miles, cannot be tracked and can hit targets with high precision.

‘Iran is mass-producing a smart ballistic missile for sea targets with a speed three times more than the speed of sound,’ state news agency IRNA quoted Jafari as saying about the new missile.

He didn't elaborate but footage of the test-launch on state television showed a missile being fired from a mobile launcher from a desert terrain.

The announcement of the new missile comes as Iran has celebrations to mark the 32nd anniversary of its Islamic revolution, which toppled the U.S.-backed shah…"

YnetNews.com reports: "The new Jordanian justice minister, Hussein Mjali, continued to bash Israel Wednesday after having praised a soldier who murdered seven Israeli girls in 1997. In an interview with the Jordanian al-Arab al-Youm, Mjali called Israel "the enemy" and "a terror state".

Immediately following the publication of his comments, a spokesman for the Jordanian foreign ministry remarked that they do not reflect the official views of the government. The spokesman stressed that Mjali had been airing his own personal views as part of the freedom of speech granted to all Jordanian citizens…"

Israel is Ready for the END of PEACE with Egypt - February 15, 2011

Israeli leaders hope that the peace agreement with Egypt will survive the change of governments in Cairo, but said this week that Israel already has a plan how to respond if Egypt returns to an official state of war with the Jewish state.

Ashkenazi warned, however, that there is a "weakening of the moderate camp" in Egypt, and that there is a very real chance that the next regime will not honor the 1979 peace treaty with Israel.

The military is current ruling Egypt, but with elections scheduled for September, jockeying for public approval has already begun.

US President Barack Obama made clear in a recent letter to the Palestinians that he views Israel as the obstacle to peace and will approach further peace efforts from that point of view, according to senior Palestinian Authority officials.

Washington has traditionally used its veto power to block any UN resolutions that would put Israel in a difficult position vis-à-vis allowing Jews to build on their ancestral and biblical lands. If the US were to stop vetoing such resolutions, which would likely result in an increase in condemnation, Israel could be forced to implement an unofficial Jewish building freeze across the board and for an unlimited amount of time.

A NEW PALESTINE STATE IS ON THE HORIZON

The most monumental peace treaty ever in the history of the Middle East could be realized in the very near future if current world leaders have their way (including the U.S.). Palestinian leader lays first stone of Brazil embassy - December 31, 2010

The symbolic act underlined a general movement in South America to recognize Palestine as a country, despite sharp criticism from Israel and US lawmakers.

Argentina, Bolivia and Ecuador have followed Brazil’s decision, made early December, to formally acknowledge a Palestinian state based on the borders which existed before the 1967 Six-Day War when Israel seized the West Bank, including east Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

Uruguay has said it will do likewise early in 2011. Other Latin American countries, including Cuba, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Venezuela, recognized Palestinian statehood several years ago.

Jordan's king wants improved ties with Iran - December 12, 2010

The call came in a closed-door meeting with Esfandiar Rahim Mashai, director of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's office, Abdullah's Royal Court said in a statement.

The Jordanian statement quoted Abdullah as saying it was "imperative to undertake practical steps for improving Jordanian-Iranian relations in the service of both countries, their brotherly people and joint Islamic causes and to consolidate security and stability in the region." It gave no details of what steps might be taken.

In U.S. cables released by WikiLeaks, U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Stephen Beecroft quoted Jordanian officials describing Iran as an "octopus" whose tentacles "reach out insidiously to manipulate, foment, and undermine the best laid plans of the West and regional moderates." Iran's "tentacles" include Qatar, Syria, the militant Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Palestinian territories, an Iraqi government linked to Iran and Shiite communities across the Mideast, according to the cables.

There is a Message of HOPE for the WORLD!

Even though everything we have discussed and shown thus far seems to depict a tragic and fateful end for our world, that is actually NOT THE CASE! The state of humanity's existence does not end in chaos or complete destruction at this time. Nor will these events leave the whole world in a panicked state of confusion, always to be frustrated in futile attempts trying to achieve a Utopian existence. The "Great Tribulation" period is only for a few short years and is merely a transitional period at end of an age. A NEW AGE IS COMING immediately thereafter!

"...SEE THAT YOU ARE NOT TROUBLED; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6 NKJ)

"All these are the beginning of birth pains [sorrows]." (Matthew 24:8 NIV-KJV)

This is probably the most accurate representation of the entire "Great Tribulation" event. "Birth pains" are very discomforting and often quite painful. A new birth involves "labor" which is an extremely strenuous and exhausting process (ask any woman who has endured this). The end result however, is "relief" from this labor and suffering because a "new life" is then born!

That is exactly what will transpire in this world. We are in the final chapter of an old and worn out age of civilization. A grand and glorious new age lies directly ahead for those of us that endure and have accepted the Lord God.

In the final part of the prophetic dream to King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2:34-35), a gigantic stone is seen as falling from the heavens, striking and destroying the statue of the image. The statue completely dissolves into dust but a great mountain rises in its place that fills the whole Earth. The Lord further interprets this vision for the prophet (Daniel 2:44-45) and likewise we can now draw a similar conclusion of what it represents. Basically, the entire system of mankind's government and religion on the Earth will be brought to an abrupt end, as Christ the "messiah" returns to claim His Kingdom. What lies beyond the "Great Tribulation" is the birth of a new and glorious society in the world, a true utopia with Jesus Christ the "messiah" as its King. This is the "blessed hope" for all of mankind to rejoice in! The problems currently facing our world today will be once and forever resolved.

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ALL THESE PROPHECIES

Therefore, these sometimes frightening words of prophecy are really a harbinger of hope to those who are searching for God today. It is through our belief that Christ died for our sins (John 3:16) and faith in His second coming (1 Thessalonians 4:14-18), that we are all "saved" and will enter into the coming Kingdom of Heaven along with Him.

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers SALVATION TO ALL PEOPLE. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:11–13 NIV)

"He who testifies to these things says, 'Surely I am coming quickly.' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Revelation 22:20-21)
