PROPHETIC WORLD CLOCK - Biblical Countdown for the End of the Current Age
OUR CLOCK represents the last seven years of the "Common Era" (C.E. or A.D. Anno Domini) traditionally reckoned as the era following the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth, with C.E. counting the years since the start of this epoch.
THE TIME on the "Prophetic Clock", is shown as "7 minutes 'till Midnight", reflecting the last seven years of this age, which is the point in time that we are rapidly approaching now.
"And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom [ Christ the Lord ] is coming; go out to meet him!’" (Matthew 25: NKJ)
This of course referring to the seven years of the "Great Tribulation Period", the final end of this age and the start of the next, the coming Kingdom of Christ on Earth for the next 1000 years. The time on the clock will ONLY change when that day finally arrives; until the final minutes start counting down it will remain at (11:53 C.E.).
This IS NOT the "Doomsday Clock" either (at least not for the "saved" believers), but reflects a time for great rejoicing in the next age that is coming and a message of hope and salvation for the rest of the world; all those who have not found the love and grace of the Lord God yet.

2 Killed as Cops Clash with Protesters in Peru
Lima – Two people were killed and 44 others injured Thursday when Peruvian police sought to clear protesters occupying a bus station in the southern city of Mollendo. The injured include both police and civilians. Another person was fatally shot Monday amid the disturbances.
Thursday's clash came on the 16th day of a general strike in Islay aimed at derailing the Tia Maria copper mine and less than 72 hours ahead of Peru's presidential and congressional elections.
"If there is still a violent attitude, we, in coordination with (local) authorities, will protect the rights of those who need to travel on that highway," he said, adding that Peru needs "calm" for Sunday's elections.
Some 3,000 protesters in Mollendo continued to battle police as of midday Thursday, according to Luque. He said the city's hospital could no longer cope with the number of wounded and that he had formally asked the central government to send help.

Somalia: Gunmen Kill Five in Puntland
LAS ANOD — Heavily armed men killed at least five and injured another four civilians in Somalia’s semi autonomous region of Puntland on Wednesday, news reports said. According to local media, Mohamed Yassin Isse, Puntland Development and Research Centre (PDRC) chairman, was ambushed and killed by a group of heavily armed men as he returned to his house from work on Wednesday in the town of Garowe.
Separately, peace activist and tribal leader, Mr Salah Abdulsalam Ahmed ‘Faqash’, was gunned down in the commercial port town of Bosasso on Wednesday by an armed men. Mr Ahmed was shot with a pistol as he left Al-Rahma Mosque after evening prayers in the Biyokulule neighborhood. The gunmen injured another two young men at the scene but medical staffs said one of them had died on the way to the hospital. Mr Ahmed was about to be inaugurated as a tribal chief to replace Isse Hassan who was also gunned down in November 2010 in Bosasso.
Violent deaths against tribal elders and leaders have reached record levels in Puntland in recent months and no one seems to know why they have became a target. At least four tribal elders were killed in the towns of Bosasso, Galkayo and Garowe in the last month alone including Salah Abdulsalam Ahmed ‘Faqash’, Nur Hirsi Osman, Ahmed Salad Ainab and Hussein Ali Dud’e.

Two Protesters Die and Hundreds Hurt in Yemen Clash
SANAA (Reuters) - Two Yemenis died and hundreds were hurt on Sunday when police used live rounds, tear gas and batons to try to break up protests against President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who called for an end to weeks of unrest. The two dead were among around 10 people hit by bullets in the violence in Taiz, south of the capital, where doctors said dozens were wounded, and that they were treating hundreds suffering tear gas inhalation.
Protests inspired by uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia have brought Saleh's rule to the verge of collapse. But the president, a perennial survivor, called on Sunday for an end to the violence, signalling he has no intention of resigning soon.
Under the opposition plan, the army and security forces would be restructured by a vice-president acting as temporary president, the opposition coalition said on Saturday. Wide discussions could then be held on constitutional changes, a unity government and new elections.
Talks have been off and on over the past two weeks, sometimes in the presence of the U.S. ambassador. Sources say Saleh wants to ensure he and his family do not face prosecution over corruption claims that the opposition has talked about.
The death of 52 protesters on March 18, apparently at the hands of government snipers, led to a string of defections among diplomats, tribal leaders and key generals, spurring Saleh to warn against a coup that he says would lead to civil war.

DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) -- Bangladeshi security officials on Sunday opened fire and used tear gas to disperse stone-throwing members of a hardline Islamic group protesting a government policy for women's equal right to inheritance, leaving one protester dead and 25 others injured.
According to Muslim family law, women can only claim a quarter of what men get from their parents. Under the new rules, every child would inherit the same amount. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Zia's archrival, says it wants women to have greater rights in employment, inheritance and education.

Israel Believes Hamas Trying to Establish 'Balance of Terror'
According to senior defense source, Hamas' prime minister has no control over the situation in Gaza; information gathered from Thursday's bus attack show the shooters knew the target contained children.
A senior defense source told Haaretz on Thursday night that he believes this was an act by the military wing of the organization, and that their aim was to deter Israel and establish a "balance of terror."
The Israel Defense Forces quickly retaliated for the attack, launching both land and air strikes on Hamas targets in the Strip, the IDF spokesperson said, killing a 50-year-old man and wounding five others.
Hamas considers these moves as an intentional accumulation, nearing a declaration of war: a series of air attacks on the Strip killing its operatives, the case of Dirar Abu Sisi (the Gazan engineer which Hamas claims Israel kidnapped in the Ukraine), and this week's bombing in Sudan, which has been attributed to Israel. As far as the military wing of the group is concerned, this is a list of actions which require a deterring response - in the form of Thursday's anti-tank missile attack, and the subsequent firing of mortars.

Ahmadinejad Hits Back at Obama
In a sharply-worded press conference, Iran's President Mahmud Ahmadinejad hit back at Barack Obama, predicting that "a future more shameful than his predecessor" is awaiting the United States president, whom he accused of adding deception to the mix of George W Bush's hegemonic policies in the Middle East.
Ahmadinejad accused the U.S. of being the motivating force behind the anti-Iran stance of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, who in their latest communique accused Iran of meddling in Bahrain's affairs. At the same time, Ahmadinejad accused the US and Israel of conspiring to "partition Jordan" under the guise of establishing a Palestinian state. He defended Tehran's decision to extend an invitation to Jordan's King Abdullah bin Hussein II and maintained that Abdullah had postponed the trip, contrary to reports that Iran had done so.

700 Fishermen Missing in Myanmar after Storms
YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Nearly 700 fishermen from Myanmar are missing after a three-day burst of unseasonable storms that ripped apart rickety fishing boats in the Andaman Sea, news reports said Monday. Rescued fishermen gave harrowing accounts. Some told local media they held on for days to broken bamboo rafts before being rescued by offshore oil companies, Thai fishing boats or Myanmar naval boats.
The Weekly Eleven news journal reported that 15,583 fisherman were rescued after the March 14-17 storms whipped up 70 mph (112 kph) winds, battering fishing rafts and trawlers, and sweeping thousands of fisherman into the open seas. It said 682 fisherman were missing. The storms hit ahead of the typical rainy period and came during the shrimp fishing season, when thousands of fisherman ply the waters on bamboo rafts.

Europe 'losing' Superbugs Battle
Antibiotic-resistant infections have reached unprecedented levels and now outstrip our ability to fight them with existing drugs, European health experts are warning.
Each year in the EU over 25,000 people die of bacterial infections that are able to outsmart even the newest antibiotics.
The World Health Organization says the situation has reached a critical point. A united push to make new drugs is urgently needed, it says. Without a concerted effort, people could be dealing with the "nightmare scenario" of a worldwide spread of untreatable infections, says the WHO.
One example is the New Delhi or NDM-1 superbug recently found in UK patients. They brought the infection back with them from countries like India and Pakistan, which they had visited for medical treatment and cosmetic surgery.

UF Scientists Continue to Study Colony Collapse Disorder
Honey bees continue decades-long decline in U.S.
Colony Collapse Disorder - Bee colonies have been in decline since the 1940s. Some possible causes: mites, small hive beetles, viruses, microspores
Some other possible causes of Colony Collapse Disorder, which remain under investigation: Israeli acute paralysis virus, the parasite nosema ceranae, traditional bee pests and pathogens, bee management stress, poor genetic biodiversity, chemical use in bee colonies to conrol bee pests, chemical toxins present in the environment, bee nutritional fitness, increasing virulence of existing pathogens, potential synergistic interactions between two or more of the above.
University of Florida Assistant Professor of Entomology Jamie Ellis, who studies Colony Collapse Disorder, says people shouldn't necessarily be alarmed - but they should be concerned. "People need to be cognizant of the fact that honey bees and other pollinators are very important to (the world's) food supply," Ellis said.
Bee decline
A United Nations report released last year states "current evidence demonstrates that a sixth major extinction of biological diversity event is under way." The report says the Earth is losing between 1 and 10 percent of natural habitats per decade. That decline, experts say, seems to be impacting the pollinator populations of bees, moths, butterflies and flies.

There is a Message of HOPE for the WORLD!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though everything we have discussed and shown thus far seems to depict a tragic and fateful end for our world, that is actually NOT THE CASE! The state of humanity's existence does not end in chaos or complete destruction at this time. Nor will these events leave the whole world in a panicked state of confusion, always to be frustrated in futile attempts trying to achieve a Utopian existence. The "Great Tribulation" period is only for a few short years and is merely a transitional period at end of an age. A NEW AGE IS COMING immediately thereafter!
"...SEE THAT YOU ARE NOT TROUBLED; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6 NKJ)
"All these are the beginning of birth pains [sorrows]." (Matthew 24:8 NIV-KJV)
This is probably the most accurate representation of the entire "Great Tribulation" event. "Birth pains" are very discomforting and often quite painful. A new birth involves "labor" which is an extremely strenuous and exhausting process (ask any woman who has endured this). The end result however, is "relief" from this labor and suffering because a "new life" is then born!
That is exactly what will transpire in this world. We are in the final chapter of an old and worn out age of civilization. A grand and glorious new age lies directly ahead for those of us that endure and have accepted the Lord God.
"These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
(Revelation 7:14-17 NIV)
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ALL THESE PROPHECIES
Therefore, these sometimes frightening words of prophecy are really a harbinger of hope to those who are searching for God today. It is through the belief that Christ died for our sins (John 3:16) and faith in His second coming (1 Thessalonians 4:14-18), that we are all "saved" and will enter into the coming Kingdom of Heaven along with Him.
"For the grace of God has appeared that offers SALVATION TO ALL PEOPLE. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:11–13 NIV)
