"For then there will be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." (Matthew 24:21 NKJ)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROPHETIC WORLD CLOCK - Biblical Countdown for the End of the Current Age
OUR CLOCK represents the last seven years of the "Common Era" (C.E. or A.D. Anno Domini) traditionally reckoned as the era following the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth, with C.E. counting the years since the start of this epoch.
THE TIME on the "Prophetic Clock", is shown as "7 minutes 'till Midnight", reflecting the last seven years of this age, which is the point in time that we are rapidly approaching now.
"And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom [ Christ the Lord ] is coming; go out to meet him!’" (Matthew 25: NKJ)
This of course referring to the seven years of the "Great Tribulation Period", the final end of this age and the start of the next, the coming Kingdom of Christ on Earth for the next 1000 years. The time on the clock will ONLY change when that day finally arrives; until the final minutes start counting down it will remain at (11:53 C.E.).
This IS NOT the "Doomsday Clock" either (at least not for the "saved" believers), but reflects a time for great rejoicing in the next age that is coming and a message of hope and salvation for the rest of the world; to those who have not found the love and grace of the Lord God yet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"...and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head... If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves." (Ezekiel 33:3-5 NKJ)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Time of Tribulation is Near
"For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard!" (Acts 20:27-31 NIV)

IAEA Confirms Syria Secretly Building Nuclear Reactor
The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog agency has said for the first time that a target bombed in Syria in 2007 was a secretly built nuclear reactor.
Yukiya Amano Thursday told a Paris press conference that the facility destroyed by Israel in an air strike was a "nuclear reactor under construction." Amano said the reactor was "allegedly" destroyed in the air strike.
Syria has long denied the facility was related to nuclear activities. According to a March 7 statement by Amano to the IAEA, Syria has not cooperated with the watchdog agency since June 2008 to address issues related to the site.

Superman Defies God, USA in Action Comics’ Landmark 900th Issue
Superman renounces his U.S. citizenship in Action Comics‘ record-breaking 900th issue. But that’s not all the benevolent alien refugee does in the sprawling special issue, which hits stores Wednesday.
The Man of Steel throws down in outer space against a continually misguided Lex Luthor, who’s finally rewarded for his boundless ambition by becoming a petulant god. Supes also throws a pizza party with Lois Lane for his Kryptonian pals, who crowd his couch while chowing grub and chewing scenery. He talks cosmology and philosophy with an interstellar deity beset by guilt over civilizations he was perhaps too selfish to save, and goes head-to-head with a one-time pro athlete who’s become a superheroic show-off.

Getting a U.S. Passport is Getting Harder
The U.S. Department of State has proposed a new questionnaire that would make it almost impossible for some people to get a passport. The new document (PDF) would require that certain applicants submit a list of every residence and every job they've ever had since birth.
The document also requires some applicants to submit information about the mother's pre-natal and post-natal care, the mother's residence one year before and after the birth, the persons in attendance at the birth and religious or institutional recordings of the birth.
"The State Department estimated that the average respondent would be able to compile all this information in just 45 minutes, which is obviously absurd given the amount of research that is likely to be required to even attempt to complete the form," Consumer Traveler's Edward Hasbrouck noted.

South Sudan Army Battles Rebel Groups Leaving 179 People Dead
Fighting between South Sudan’s army and rebel groups broke out in two of the region’s ten states, killing at least 179 people, the army’s director of information, Malaak Ayuen Ajok, said by phone today from Juba.
The rebels claim to have killed hundreds of SPLA soldiers in four days of fighting between a small village called Mankien and the county headquarters of Mayom, Bol Gatkouth Kol, a former member of the southern parliament and rebel spokesman, said by phone Saturday.
The violence adds to conflicts that have overshadowed the oil-rich region’s preparations for independence in July. Fighting earlier this year killed at least 800 people and displaced 93,783, the United Nations said on April 13.

Cleric Confident about Further Spread of Islamic Awakening
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian cleric described Iran's Islamic Revolution as a source of inspiration for the popular uprisings in the region, saying that the current Islamic awakening will further spread around the world.
"Today, the wave of Islamic awakening has overrun countries across the globe and God-willing this wave will become even more widespread," Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani said on Thursday.
"We take pride in that all these awakenings have been influenced by the Iranian movement," he said in reference to Iran's Islamic revolution of 1979.
The senior cleric pointed out that an Islamic Middle-East is in the making and that the schemes by arrogant powers, the US in particular, to forge an Israel-centered region has failed.
"Despite the obstacles created by oppressors and arrogant powers, this course is irreversible," he said.
Ayatollah Hamedani criticized the states ruled by Arab royal families in the Middle East as puppet regimes swept into power and sustained by Washington.

Underground Christians Fear China Crackdown
Beijing, China (CNN) -- This calm denim-clad 28-year-old identifies herself only as Water, based on the Chinese characters that make up her first name. She has been deemed an enemy of the state, an unlikely label for a petite and well-educated woman who eschews violence and confrontation.
Shouwang Church has came under fire by Chinese authorities three weeks ago, when the government ordered the church to cease all activity until further notice. The Chinese government has stated that Shouwang operates unlawfully. To be recognized, the church must register to be a state-sanctioned operation, which includes censoring of certain religious materials.
The government mandate fell in the midst of a recent crackdown on dissidents, activists and lawyers across China, as the government fears a revolt that mirrors the unrest across the Arab world.

Christians Face Charges in Algeria for Blasphemy
According to a press release, International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that two Algerian Christians are scheduled to appear in court in the Muslim-majority country on charges of proselytizing and blasphemy, and may face a five year prison sentence. The two men were arrested and briefly imprisoned in Oran on April 14 after sharing their Christian faith with their neighbors. Concern runs high since in February, during the disturbances that led to regime change in neighboring Tunisia, a Catholic priest was stabbed to death in Tunis at his residence following Islamist death threats. It was in Algeria in 1996 that Catholic monks were murdered under still unresolved circumstances.
One of the men, Sofiane, was released a day after their arrest, while Krimo was imprisoned for three days. After the arrest, Algerian police searched Krimo’s home for Bibles and other Christian material. Krimo was known to hold weekly prayer services at his home, which Algerian Christians suspect were being closely monitored by the police.
The arrests came a day before Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika pledged to his country that he would reform the constitution to allow freedom of press and free elections. Since the current constitution was applied in 1996 to strengthen emergency laws and ban religious-based parties following a war between the military and Islamic militants, the Algerian government has been unable to contain Islamists who have been largely responsible for attacks on Christians.

China Detains Protestant Shouwang Devotees
At least 20 Chinese Protestants have been detained as they tried to gather for an Easter service in Beijing.
The worshippers, from the Shouwang church, were trying to hold an outdoor service because they are prevented from using their own premises. Police have recently arrested dozens of people from the church.
The authorities have also been carrying out a wider suppression of dissent - harassing foreign reporters and detaining lawyers and activists. China's constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but the Communist Party tries to control where people worship.
There are an estimated 70 million Christians in the country, about 20 million of whom attend government-approved churches. The rest worship with unregistered groups known as "house" churches. Such groups are broadly tolerated, but Shouwang leaders have annoyed the authorities in recent weeks by insisting on trying to hold services in the open. Shouwang is one of Beijing's biggest so-called underground Churches, with more than 1,000 members.

Jews, Muslims and Christians on Significance of Mideast Turmoil
This is not only the opinion of Israel’s Orthodox rabbis, but also of Messianic Jews here in the Land and Christians abroad. Even Muslims are interpreting current events in the Middle East as “a sign from heaven.”
For Jews, Muslims and Christians alike, the uproar in the Arab world is not just a political issue; it is a spiritual one. Prominent Israeli rabbis see these revolutions as an act of God.
Ordinary Arabs on the streets of Jerusalem are speaking of a new era in the Middle East. “Society is breaking down,” Ibrahim Abu Tair, 41, told us. “In the near future a major war will break out between the Muslims and the Jews and other unbelievers.”
The reason why different religions see the same future is that they all draw their beliefs from the Bible. Even though the Koran is not viewed by Jews and Christians as the word of God, Kalisher says its biblical connection reveals to Muslims the dangers threatening the region. Both the Bible and Koran speak of Judgment Day, but the differing visions point to a head-on collision.

Poll: Egyptians Don't Want Peace With Israel
The results of a public opinion poll conducted in Egypt following the fall of dictator Hosni Mubarak show that the majority of Egyptians want to annul their nation's peace treaty with neighboring Israel. That percentage was the same among both secular Egyptians and those affiliated with Islamic organizations.
The poll also found that Egyptians don't think too highly of America or US President Barack Obama. Eighty percent of respondents said they have an unfavorable view of the US in general, and 60 percent said they don't trust Obama. Only 22 percent of Egyptians said America has made a positive impact on recent political changes in their country.

One of the victims told Israel's Channel 2 News that the attackers were Palestinian Authority police officers.
Following the assault, Israel agreed to hand Joseph's Tomb over to the Palestinian Authority with the promise that it would be preserved and that Jews would continue to be able to visit. The Holy Scripture tells us that there will be SIGNS and WONDERS in these times, coming from BOTH the Lord AND His adversary! How do we know what is from the Lord God and what is part of the enemy's lie? How do we even prepare for this? THE MAIN POINT TO RECOGNIZE IS THAT WE ARE IN THOSE TIMES - AND TO BE READY!

TORNADOS and SEVERE WEATHER STORMS REACH RECORD NUMBERS
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The death toll from severe storms that punished five Southern U.S. states has jumped to 267. Alabama officials confirmed 180 deaths. Mississippi officials reported 32 dead in that state and Tennessee raised its report to 33. Another 14 have been killed in Georgia and 8 in Virginia.
As many as a million people were still without power in Alabama Thursday. The governor said 2,000 national guard troops were helping to search devastated areas for people still missing. A massive tornado, caught on video by a news camera on a tower, barreled through the city late Wednesday afternoon, leveling it.
The storm system spread destruction from Texas to New York, where dozens of roads were flooded or washed out. The governors in Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia issued emergency declarations for parts of their states. The storm system continued eastward on Thursday, damaging roofs and downing power lines in the Carolinas as it punched into the western ends of both states and then swept toward the coast. Thousands were without power and authorities said they had received unconfirmed reports of twisters.
The Browns Ferry nuclear power plant about 30 miles west of Huntsville lost offsite power. The Tennessee Valley Authority-owned plant had to use seven diesel generators to power the plant's three units. The safety systems operated as needed and the emergency event was classified as the lowest of four levels, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said.
There have been over 6500 severe weather reports (tornadoes, hail, and high winds/wind damage) so far in April. On average, only about 3300 severe weather reports are tallied in an entire April nationwide.

12 Dead in Torrential Brazil Rains
Brazilian authorities have declared a state of emergency in seven cities in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul where torrential rain has left 12 dead and thousands homeless.
The rainfall that began Thursday has continued for three days straight in some regions of the south, with civil defence officials saying that seven municipalities are in a state of emergency - Taquari, Santa Cruz, Paverama, Piratini, Pareci Novo, Igrejinha and Cacequi - and another seven are on alert.
The heavy rains come after record downfalls swamped southern Santa Catarina state and Sao Paulo in January, claiming 1,348 lives mainly from flooding and mudslides, while over 21,000 people lost their homes or had to abandon them amid fears of likely collapses.

CARACAS – The rain-produced rise in a small river in a rural town in northwestern Venezuela swept away 12 people who were swimming in it, nine of whom drowned – among them six children – and three others who are missing, authorities said.
The states of Merida, Tachira, Trujillo and Zulia have been the hardest hit by flooding, mudslides and landslides, which have buried portions of some roads, although in the central states of Vargas and Miranda, which contains part of Caracas, as well as in the northeastern state of Anzoategui, overflowing rivers and the collapse of hillsides have occurred.
The rains began in March, three months after the end of a prior and prolonged rainy period between November and December that took the lives of about 50 people and left more than 300,000 with property damage.

Microbiology Labs Linked to Nationwide Salmonella Outbreak
One person is dead and at least 10 have been hospitalized in an outbreak of salmonella poisonings linked to clinical and teaching microbiology laboratories across the nation, government health officials reported. Some 73 people in 35 states have been sickened by the bacteria since August, including some by a strain of Salmonella Typhimurium sold commercially for use in laboratory settings, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
A study of 32 cases found that 60 percent of ill patients were exposed to microbiology labs in the week before their illness began, compared with 2 percent of people in a control group. Illnesses have been tied to laboratories from Alaska to New York, with most reporting one or two cases. *If these are only "the Beginning of the Birth Pains" -- Imagine what "FULL LABOR" is going to be like!"

Other Informative HubPages on current Biblical Prophecy unfolding
- "Islam and Revelation" - by Judah's Daughter (Carrie Bradshaw)
We are going to review Revelation to observe what it says about the three beasts of the last days. They are the Dragon, the Antichrist and the False Prophet. We call this the Unholy Trinity for this reason. - "Why the Messiah Did Not Take the Throne" - by Vladimir Uhri
The Messiah did not take the throne. He had to deal first with the problem of sin. It is in reality predominantly the sin of unbelief. A person cannot keep commandments and law if he does not believe.

There is a Message of HOPE for the WORLD!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though everything we have discussed and shown thus far seems to depict a tragic and fateful end for our world, that is actually NOT THE CASE! The state of humanity's existence does not end in chaos or complete destruction at this time. Nor will these events leave the whole world in a panicked state of confusion, always to be frustrated in futile attempts trying to achieve a Utopian existence. The "Great Tribulation" period is only for a few short years and is merely a transitional period at end of an age. A NEW AGE IS COMING immediately thereafter!
"...SEE THAT YOU ARE NOT TROUBLED; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6 NKJ)
"All these are the beginning of birth pains [sorrows]." (Matthew 24:8 NIV-KJV)
This is probably the most accurate representation of the entire "Great Tribulation" event. "Birth pains" are very discomforting and often quite painful. A new birth involves "labor" which is an extremely strenuous and exhausting process (ask any woman who has endured this). The end result however, is "relief" from this labor and suffering because a "new life" is then born!
That is exactly what will transpire in this world. We are in the final chapter of an old and worn out age of civilization. A grand and glorious new age lies directly ahead for those of us that endure and have accepted the Lord God.
"These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
(Revelation 7:14-17 NIV)
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ALL THESE PROPHECIES
Therefore, these sometimes frightening words of prophecy are really a harbinger of hope to those who are searching for God today. It is through the belief that Christ died for our sins (John 3:16) and faith in His second coming (1 Thessalonians 4:14-18), that we are all "saved" and will enter into the coming Kingdom of Heaven along with Him.
"For the grace of God has appeared that offers SALVATION TO ALL PEOPLE. It teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ." (Titus 2:11–13 NIV)
"He who testifies to these things says, 'Surely I am coming quickly.' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Revelation 22:20-21)
