Sitting around waiting for the world to change

Welcome to the year 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and beyond.

Just another year of the same old rhetoric.

Perhaps next year will be the year for real changes, or the year of the end of times as we know them.

We just sit around waiting for the world to change - and do nothing as usual.

  • What a life !
  • What a country !
  • What a world !

We are constantly bombarded with negativity by the media with their spewing of hatred, intolerance and distrust unto the world.

The liars, the cheaters, the thieves, the corrupters have conquered the world and permeated their filth into the very lives of every person on this planet.

  • there is no "profit" in peace -
  • there is not "control" in equality -
  • there is no "commitment" to betterment -
  • there is not "incentive" for change -

Welcome to the year of 2013 and beyond.

Each one heralds the same old hatred for our fellow men - perhaps the next year will be our last in this phase of universal development.

For you bible "thumpers" go back and read: Luke 10:30 - 37. I doubt you will, for none of which it speaks, exists today.

"judge thee not......" and yet that is what religion is all about today - teaching intolerance, hatred, and beating others down - all in the name of God.

What a wonderful world !

Losing my religion

The Roman Catholic church has resorted to T.V. ads begging people to "come back to the religion that Jesus started..." and their recent declaration allowing married priests to enter the church is startling in itself. And still they know not that Jesus never started any church. Perhaps this is the signal that religion is in its final throes in this world? We can only hope.

Check out the above link to also see more details on the Pope trying to get other "christian" religions to defect and join ranks.

We do not even know our own history of religion.

Jesus DID NOT start the Roman Catholic church.

The Roman government started it for better control over their subjects.

It is twisted, thwarted and used to thwack the gullible into submission through unfounded fear and unfounded guilt.

Perhaps we are on the verge of a concerted convergence of base religions into one great big monopoly.

Politicians, and wall street thieves (those infamous money changers or 'money grubbers' ) so bitterly despised by Jesus in that same bible that we worship from today - these are the same people we look up to, aspire to be, and freely allow to now rule our very lives.

We have become a race of the gullible - masochistic - sadistic mentalities.

The majority enjoys watching others being abused, manipulated and degraded until it starts hitting closer to home - then we cry "foul" - but too late.

We sit back watching others being destroyed by our warped "system of values" and do nothing, say nothing, in their defense, but in this process also fail to realize that when it becomes our turn to feel the wrath of the oppressors, there will be no-one left to stand up for us either.

It truly saddens me to view the wide spread global unrest caused by only a few potently dominant individual despots defined as:

  • 1. [a] byzantine (characterized by a devious and surreptitious manner) of self proclaimed emperors or princes; [b] a bishop or patriarch of the Eastern Orthodox Church; [c] and Italian hereditary prince or military leader during the renaissance.
  • 2. [a] a ruler with absolute power and authority; [b] a person exercising power tyrannically, and 'practicing' despotism - a government in which the ruler has unlimited power or absolutism.

In the U.S. this despot is not one person, but one group of organizations (that our supreme court deems the same status as an individual) acting in tandem - that being the wealthy elitists of the Giant Corporate American DESPOTISM that we so readily embrace - all within the convincing guise that they so aptly named themselves: CONSERVATISM and CAPITALISM.

These people preach conservative, evangelical, principles and live and practice just the opposite.

This is the conventional orthodox ideology they falsely portray to the public as their base conformation to established doctrine in religions. That is why they have so readily adopted, and attracted, the various evangelical conservative religions and/or political groups that they see as representing the majority of the sacrilegious in this country.

Our only hope for the future is that those perceived majority are, or soon will be, pushed into the minority category and then into obscurity forever - where they certainly belong.

The seduction into submission by the false promises of "rewards after death" is losing its allure - and rightly so - in a society of growing intelligence, sensibility, logic, and reality.

The outdated scare tactics are losing their effectiveness.

Of course with the president succumbing to the political pressure and signing that infamous document in the late hours of December 31, 2011, behind closed doors (with the hope it will go unnoticed) that allows our government unfettered permission to arrest and detain anyone - without proof - without a warrant - without probable cause - for an indefinite period of time - is certainly going to be a factor of deterrence to those of us who WILL CONTINUE TO DARE to publicly speak against the establishment.

This is a steep and slippery slope into the abyss of complete government control and complete loss of all individual freedoms in this country.

It is beginning to look like this current government administration is filled with "closet Republicans".

As stated in a response to one of the readers on one of my other articles:

"It truly sickens me that religions and some fanatical factions of our society find it their mission in life to defy God (and nature) by mistreating, judging, and spewing their hatred against what nature has done.

For every species of animal and plant on this planet there is a natural counter balance for their excessive proliferation. I believe that the increased phenomena of people being born gay is nature's (God's) way of counter balancing the over explosion of humans on this fragile planet. The religious zealots, the bible thumpers, and those politicians who play on the weakness of others, will pay for their harm that they do to others, in hell. If there really is such a place as hell, they have certainly earned their entrance there."

Thank you so much for reading and commenting. It is always a pleasure to hear from you and i am glad you approved this message. (Sorry, about that - i have heard that so many times after those infuriating and irritating political tv ads it is like a hearing a horrible piece of music that sticks in you brain for weeks after hearing it).

It truly IS still a beautiful world in spite of those political dolts threatening or livelihoods, equality and freedom of choices.

hello D, to quote you: The liars, the cheaters, the thieves, the corrupters have conquered the world and permeated their filth into the very lives of every person on this planet.

•there is no "profit" in peace -

•there is not "control" in equality -

•there is no "commitment" to betterment -

•there is not "incentive" for change -

This says it all, D, sheer poetry. It is easy to observe here how so little says and encompasses so much.

That is why the religious right are a bunch of phonies. They ally with the money changers in the temple and are more than happy to let them spread the good word ofthe gospel at the point of the gun, or the grab of your wallet.

"These people preach conservative, evangelical, principles and live and practice just the opposite"

That is what I have experienced, you tell em!

It is the military/industrial complex with just a dash of that old time religion for flavor.

"I am beginning to think this current government administration is filled with "closet Republicans".

The only thing worse than closet republicans are the ones that are free to operate openly without any pretense of restraint.

      "People are Dumb" Cred2

As always, a great read, thanks.....

      # 3. As long as the average person keeps acting like a mindless consumer they will continue to be sold a pile of crap and told they live in the best country in the world!

It's time you too got educated and acted like a socially insightful, politically clear thinking world citizen and drew up a plan with some friends how to mobilize these dream-walking, patriotically brainwashed supporters of a dead-end system ... :)

How much brain and energy does it take to dismantle the old and build some thing new and better? Maybe it takes a lot ... but why not get started now? Anyone can build a good web site, make a list of the first of a bunch major banks, etc. to be taken down by the people ...

Just put up a list of a few good local credit unions to move the money into, spread the word and watch the corporate titans wet their pants ... :)

In the process you will also see the types of Dick Cheney try to tell you, it's against the national interest ... but his involvement in 911 naturally wasn't - after all they had to stop Saddam Hussein from selling his oil for gold and Euros - just imagine the Saudis doing the same! The US buck would be worth less than toilet paper ... so you got the lies about bringing democracy to that place and removing all these dangerous weapons of muss destruction while three building were made ready for controlled demolition in NYC ... ahaha

The internet is an undiscovered power tool for social change, and no empty hope is required, just clear thought some social understanding and a bit of action ...

It's amazing, the 911 truth movement didn't spark a revolution ... I guess that's what a long rich, diet of religious and national BS does to the moral fiber of people, eh?

thank you for your comments. You are way more optimistic than i am.

#1. As long as we have electronic voting, we will NEVER again have honest elections in this country.

#2. As long as we have such wide spread religious influences in our lives, and our government, there will never truly be total equality, freedom and the pursuit of happiness for all of our citizens alike.

thanks for reading and your kind words of encouragement. There ought to be a law against religions buying ad space of t.v. to suck people in. They act like a business, walk like a business, talk like a business and yet remain tax free. What in hell is that all about? I still cannot understand how this government allows certain "businesses" to get away without paying their fair share of taxes. If you, or I, did not pay our taxes we would lose all our property, get fined and thrown in jail.

thanks for being the first to read and comment. Point well taken. We are ALL guilty of apathy, complacency, and silently allowing this corruption to grow in our government. It is never too late to speak out against what is obviously against the people.

dwilliam you really lay it on the line in this hub! I was not aware that the Pope is now allowing married men to become priests, that is quite a significant step for the Catholic church. Loads of strong information here, thank you for your brave approach to the sensitive subject of hate, bigotry, and war in the year 2012.

      Great hub!

The word is out, the establishment is a lost cause - now YOU figure out how much YOU sold out to them, how much YOU are a part of it ... and come about fast, get clean from all that crap ... and start building that NEW Alternative Movement - put REASON back into YOUR mind and make it the Centre Point of YOUR Critical Understanding of Reality and Nature as it always has been deep down below all that BS you have been sold for much too long, my friend!
