Are people forgetting how to spell? Shorthand with a twist? Adaptation to suvival?

Updated on April 7, 2022

Stop! Look! What in the world is going on?!!

Okay! I cannot refrain any longer from discussing the negatives associated/impacting from the direct use of cell phones texting and any computer chat zones. To list a couple, msn and facebook chat. I, too am and have been extremely caught up in the worldwind phenomenon of the new convenient communication tools. I do not recall what kicked in, or rather made me realize that these new unique/trendy gadgets are a total mockery to the english language. Shit! Did I just say "mockery," I meant disturbance, or rather, I mean destroyers...yep, instruments that are destroying the way we think, write, and communicate. At first, being introduced to chat, when I was clueless to the lingo and bizarre slang/terminology, i thought, wow, this is fun! And so, there I was conforming to the unwritten, unspoken of laws of chat then, texting. Isn't it unbelieveable, downright drole, and completely out of this world a trend that just keeps extending itself outwardly and inwardly into our everyday living.

Busy, busy, busy we live and work, or, if you are like I, work and live.. We do so many things throughout the day, of course during the land of living--wakeful moments.  I wonder if others have found time to wonder about the things we have found all of a sudden useful and instruments of necessity. Do people out there stop and look at the fact that these are indeed instruments that are ruining the way we interact with others?

For instance today I caught a glimpse of  my skillful play of words while texting a friend. And afterwards realized skillful to whom??  The message went something like this......

"Hi, thot u wr werkn? n e thin go n on 2nite? b4 u leav go c da list of 2dos..."

Oh and, let's please mention ( lol), where on earth did that come from?...laugh out loud?.... Is there any other way to laugh?

It's getting late and I must rise early, it"s off to bed with this weary boggled mind of mine....hope to come back 2morrow night to view people's interest.....just another day on planet earth, Maggie-May.
