Investigating Trump - The End Game

I'm on the right side of politics and enjoy a good debate on government, the economy, common sense, and the rights of the people.

The Department of Justice, under intense pressure from Democrats, announced a special counsel to oversee the FBI’s investigation of possible Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential Election. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed ex-FBI Director Robert Mueller on Wednesday May 17th to the position. Attorney General Jeff Sessions had previously recused himself from the investigation, leaving the task to the Deputy Attorney General. Rosenstein will hand Director Mueller the many months of data, which to this point have revealed no illegal activities by the Clinton or Trump campaigns with respect to Russian involvement.

Democrats are currently celebrating what they consider is a huge bombshell-type of a win, however it’s unlikely that anything new will emerge. This comes on the heels of James Comey’s firing by President Trump. Comey, the former Director of the FBI has made claims that he took notes and prepared a memorandum from a conversation that he had with the President in which he claims the President asked him to close the investigation on former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Deputy Attorney General had previously stated in a written press release that “based on the unique circumstances, the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command.” Mueller has agreed to resign from his position in a private law firm to remove any indications of conflict of interest.

James Comey

As FBI Director, James Comey previously confirmed publically that the bureau was investigating a possible Russian connection into the election and whether Trump officials were involved. The investigation began in July of 2016 but that he withheld briefing Congress until recently, claiming it was too sensitive to share with the elected body. The CIA was also doing a similar investigation along the same lines, but unlike Comey, the CIA Director was investigating whether Russian cyber-attacks were aimed at disrupting the American Electoral Process, not as an attempt to get Trump or Clinton elected or defeated. Much of the hype around the FBI trying to pin the Russian angle to Trump was formulated after the massive data breech of unsecured data at the Democratic National Committee. What the news failed to report was an attempt to breech the Republican National Committee was also made, but the RNC had a more secure system and wasn’t compromised.

In the waning days of October, the FBI has not found any evidence of a link between Trump and the Russians. Yet, the continued stream of e-mails being released by several hacking groups, WikiLeaks being the most prominent, led some analysts to abandon their logical investigative methods, instead concluding without hard evidence that Putin was trying to harm Hillary Clinton, and thus by default “working for Trump.” It’s a well-known fact that Russian President Putin and Hillary Clinton are adversarial and have been more many years before Trump entered the Presidential election. This dates back to when Hillary was Secretary of State under the Obama administration. One interesting angle that didn’t receive much media attention is the fact that many government officials felt the agencies were pushing too hard to pull a Trump-Russia relationship from thin air, in an attempt to help Hillary Clinton win the election.

NO Evidence, NO Proof, NO Links to Russia

At this point, there are no links connecting President Trump to the Russians. There are numerous media outlets which claim circumstances “prove” the connection, but under United States Law, these are inadmissible. Another point is that polling data shows that the leaks and negative stories about Mrs. Clinton were not enough to sway voters to the Trump side of the ballot. Yet, without any hard evidence, the Democrats continued the Russian interference angle to this day, more than 100 days after the President has been in office. The media which leans strongly Left, has been an avid supporter of the steady stream of innuendo and unsubstantiated accusations throughout the entire process. So, we can expect another few months of this distraction while the newly appoint special counsel has a chance to review the data. What we can expect during that window is a steady stream of stories from the media which appear to support the ongoing unsubstantiated claims, complete with talking head interviews, political posturing and outright lies. This is not surprising to anyone who has been following the tactic and strategies of the Democratic Party over the years.

Disrupt the Agenda of the President

The end game of this negative media blitz is multi-faceted, with each tactic working toward neutering President Trump from being able to implement his agenda; one which is focused on building a border wall, bringing jobs back to America, and strengthening our military. The Democrats have historically used obstructionist tactics, especially with the court system, to delay any real progress put forth by the Republicans. It started with the delaying President Trump’s Cabinet choices for as long as possible; a process which took longer than any President in history. Using most procedural tricks, the Democrats in the Senate slowed the process down to a crawl. They again tried to block the confirmation of President Trump’s Supreme Court pick, but were summarily shut down when Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell used the same nuclear option as former Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid did during the Obama administration.

Media Supporting the Attacks no Longer a Secret

The latest attack on the President has already caused huge ripples throughout Washington and the media is working hard to amplify the rhetoric about the President being impeached. Yet, no proof of anything illegal has been brought to light. What’s even more surprising is that those bringing the litany of unproven accusations against the President know that they are false. A recent article in one of the major newspapers led with huge headlines, but later in the story actually printed the truth that what the President did was totally within this right as President. It’s also being circulated that former FBI Director Comey has a trove of documents that will hurt the President and that he is now seeking revenge on the highest elected official in the nation. Comey must realize that he’s playing a dangerous game by making accusations at that level.

Democrats Only Care About Democrats

The President is quickly finding himself alone on an island, with Obama-era deep state insiders willing to leak anything and everything in an attempt to take him down. His agenda is currently stalled, which falls right in line with the Leftists plans. The civil unrest that was perpetrated by masked Liberals in an attempt to silence free speech has subsided for now. There are no guarantees that it won’t resurface once the independent counsel finds no indication of a Russian connection. President Trump has been treated worse than any elected official in the nation’s history and it should be considered deliberate sabotage and those involved prosecuted, but it won’t be. The Democrats are blatantly disregarding the functioning of the nation, dealing with threats, managing the federal bureaucracy, and all other national concerns just to play politics.

The End Game is Anti-American

America can understand the fact that the Democrats are angry over their recent loss. They see the wasteful and useless social programs of the Obama administration being shelved and dismantled, and they aren’t happy about it. They see illegal aliens self-deporting because of the strong stance the Oval Office is taken on border security, thus depriving the Democrats of future voters. They watch as their armies of indoctrinated millennials riot in the streets, attack other citizens, and stifle free speech without saying anything against it. They’ve even come to the point where they refer to themselves as the “resistance,” as if somehow indicating America has been taken over by a hostile foreign power. They’ve even made the false claims of patriotism, when in fact their ideologies are as far away from patriotism as possible. The only loyalty Democrats have is to their Party, not America. Perhaps that’s why they have been losing seats at all levels of government from local all the way to Federal levels.

What the outcome will be is anyone’s guess at this point in the process. The Democratic Party appears to be on the brink of extinction, allowing themselves to be destroyed from within by the hardcore Leftists. The media of the country isn’t trusted by anyone anymore and have exposed themselves as nothing more than an extension of the power-hungry Liberals. The continued assault on the President won’t end up as a good thing, regardless of how the Democrats try to spin it. Voters are watching the violence, the attack-dog tactics, the relentless made-up smear campaigns, and they are speaking loudly and clearly at the ballot box. President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton because she was considered untrustworthy in the eyes of the common American, not because of a Russian conspiracy.
