The Republican National Convention of 2012 - All the Right Players and yet the WRONG Results...

Updated on August 26, 2014

Mitt Romney

The 2012 Republican National Convention

If you watched the 2012 Republican National Convention this past week you probably noticed a theme of American pride, American determination, and American love of Family and God. It was a refreshing experience to see true hope and loads of inspiration from all of the speakers throughout the week. What you might have missed if you were viewing the convention on liberal media channels is that they (liberal media kings) decided to not televise the presentations of some Black and Hispanic speakers - who sounds racist now?

Why would the liberal media not show these inspirational and upstanding Americans? Some of them had been Democrats in the past and realized that the Dems didn't stand for the things of importance they were looking for in their leaders. Some of them were brilliant Americans that told their stories of immigration and rags to riches - these stories might appeal to young immigrants - a group that Obama is counting on to bolster him come November. Those speakers are proud, hard working, intelligent, and determined Americans who made it , some against great odds, in this amazing country they call home. They told stories of parents who worked 16 hour days so they could provide a better life for their children in this land of opportunity. So many of these stories were about hard working small business owners who turned that small business in to a large business that employed hundreds of other proud Americans. All of these speakers represented the American Dream. The liberal media wants us to forget about that dream and become the lemmings of Socialism.

Notable Speakers

I don't recall a convention in all my life that I have anticipated as much as I did the 2012 Republican Convention. The line up was perfection - a list of all star Republican players from the melting pot we call America. Marco Rubio, Chris Christi, Artur Davis, Condi Rice, Mike Huckabee, and the wonderful Susana Martinez. We also heard from Ann Romney who told of meeting Mitt more than 43 years ago, about raising their family while Mitt was working hard to support them all. She told of Mitt calling home in the midst of the chaos all mothers face from time to time and him reminding her that what she was doing for their family was much, much more important than what he was doing.

We heard from Paul Ryan who honored his fathers' memory and praised the hard work of his widowed mother. He was humble and wise, humorous and heart wrenching. Above all he was "positive" about the future of America with Mitt Romney at the helm.

Chris Christi - the big guy, did a terrific job of delivering a superb and honorable key note speech. He praised his mother, father, grandmother, and his wife and children. He talked about leadership and pride in the United States. He made me so proud to be a Republican and an American - something I haven't heard from Obama in the last 4 years - being a PROUD AMERICAN - seems to go against his visions for our past, present, or future....

Susana Martinez - She did the right thing by starting off with a request for all to pray for those in the path of "Isaac" the terrible Gulf Coast storm. She told of her meager beginnings, her parent's living paycheck to paycheck. Then they started a business because that is what we do in America, we believe that if we work hard and stick to it, ANYTHING is possible. She told of being 18 years old and working in her parents Security business, She was the night guard for church services and she carried a Smith & Wesson 357 magnum. Her story to was inspirational and gave hope of a Proud America once again.

Mitt Romney Inspires

Mitt Romney gave a heartfelt and moving speech at the end of the convention. He first accepted the Republican nomination to be the next President of the United States. He praised his running mate Paul Ryan, he admitted that once they take on the role of President and Vice President they will have to role up their sleeves and get busy. He spoke of his belief that we as Americans are united much more than we are divided - very refreshing to hear. He talked about his parents being immigrants to this great country. He talked about the precious Freedoms we have here that others are not as fortunate to have.

Romney hit many key points about how we are suffering economically under Obama and his administration, job loss, higher gas and food prices, collapse of the real estate market ans so on. He stated "Now is the moment where we can stand up and say, ``I am an American, I make my destiny, we deserve better, my children deserve better, my family deserves better, my country deserves better.'' I found that to be a very powerful line, he is correct - we do deserve better and now is the time to make that happen for us and future generations.

Come November 2012, I am voting for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan - because they believe in America and they believe in Americans, because they want Americans to succeed and to do it proudly, because they are good caring men who will do everything in their power to fix what Obama has nearly destroyed. Because I believe we need to get back to being great again. God Bless America once again!

These Guys as President and Vice President of the United States - Could have been GREAT!

Thank you WillStarr - I am hoping American voters will see the Obama ads for what they are - Lies....

Obama's attack ads, falsely describing Romney as a felon and a murderer, have had an effect, but now the Romney ads will start, so that false narrative may be overcome.

      We shall see.

Thank you Nell, many of us are excited about Romney improving our terrible economy and getting us back to being proud of our country once again. Obama has not been great for morale....

Another wonderful hub. The time is now, if nothing else that is why the people who watch that convention should've taken away, time is running out. In addition to pointing that out is great to hear the amount of patriotism at that convention, because until now I was beginning to wonder. Anybody can be a leader, you be a good leader you can be a bad leader, but not everybody is a patriot. Every time I say or hear the pledge, anytime I say saying the national anthem, I get a picture of my eyes of our president just standing there with his hands at his sides. Smiling, not speaking or reciting, and he did this more than one time including foreign dignitaries. Romney/Ryan 2012

I did watch the Republican Convention and cried many times throughout it.....especially when Ann was speaking and Chris Christi and many others!....This is what is right for us, Romney & Ryan, and I pray that God in His mercy, will let Mitt & Paul find favor with the American people!
