Narendra Damodardas Modi is the fifteenth Prime Minister of India. He is also called as Namo by his fans. Previously he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat (western state of India), serving from 2001 to 2014. His Gujarat model of development gained popularity throughout the country and the world. He became the number one contender of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the post of Prime Minister in Lok Sabha Election 2014. Modi also helped BJP win the Lok Sabha Election single handedly.

Narendra Modi was born on 17th September 1950 in Gujarat. As a child he used to sell tea at railway station. That time nobody would have expected that a tea seller can be the Prime Minister of India. In school days he was an enthusiastic debater with a great interest in theatre. At an early age of 8 he joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Modi was a part of RSS for many years. He served for the organization before joining politics. Opposition parties accuse him to still have link with RSS. But he always denies any connection with the organization. Now he is only focusing on the development of India and how Indian economy can improve.
In 1970 when Indira Gandhi banned RSS and jailed many of its activists, Modi became a Sikh. He masked himself and tried to appear like a Sikh man.
Narendra Modi always comes to meet his mother to take her blessings. He also respects other senior members of his politician party like Lal Krishna Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Modi was married at the age of eighteen with Jashodaben Chimanlal. But he never disclosed about his marriage openly. In 2014 Lok Sabha Election he disclosed about his wife.
Namo has been seen wearing colorful, traditional and religious costumes in so many occasions. He loves to put on different types of costumes as per the tradition of the local area.
Namo who led BJP to a big victory in Lok Sabha Election 2014 swore as the Prime Minister of India. He also uttered obscenities during the swearing ceremony.
