Stopped In The Departure Lounge.

A Muslim family of 11 including 9 children have been stopped in the departure lounge at Gatwick Airport by US officials from flying to Los Angeles in California. Apparently no reason was given other than the fact they were Muslim and in the wake of the Paris attacks and the attacks in California it is obvious the Americans are taking no chances.

It seems Donald Trump's words of banning Muslims from the US temporarily until they can assert what is going on may have been prophetic.

Many Muslims are now complaining of similar treatment and one Imam from East London Ajmal Masroor also says he was stopped from flying to the US and stated that the Americans seem paranoid about Muslims and fearful hence these actions taking place.

The Muslim family of 11 from Walthamstow have had their local MP Stella Creasy write to David Cameron to intervene but a Downing Street spokesperson said they were looking into the matter.

There is an unfortunate matter here that whether we like it or not we are at war with Islamic extremists though hopefully not Islam whether they be Islamic State or Al Qaeda or any other extemist group who wishes us harm and so Muslims must accept they may be stopped from travelling or given a hard time at airports. At the end of the day it is for their safety as well as non - Muslims and if they have nothing to hide than they have nothing to fear.

When you can't tell the good guys from the bad guys let us roll on the side of caution.

Remember, it only took a few of the bad guys to show us how easy it is for them to kill and maim us in our own country.

These terrorists come in all ages, genders, and they shouldn't be allowed to get us so easily.
