Proper Waste Management

Updated on September 13, 2012

The world's population is increasing everday. An average person might produce 1-2 (kg) of garbage everyday. So this means (World's Population) x 2kg = Worldwide Trash. So just imagine how much garbage we can collection a daily basis. How much more on a month or year?

I know there are some countries which have good garbage facilities. But there are also who are just ignoring it.

Garbage is one of the causes of flood. Then after the flood the more garbage that we will have. If we will not make an action in disposing and properly managing our garbages, then this cycle will just continue until there's nothing left of us. We all want a better place to live in and for the next future generations to come. So we must act before its too late.

There are many ways to lessen the trash that we will produce. All we need is our creativity and initiatives.

Segregation

Before disposing all your garbage, you must first sort it. Separate the dry ones from the wet ones. The hazardous ones from the recyclable ones. In these ways, we can lessen the garbage that will be disposed in our landfills.

Recycling

If we recycle our trash, it will lessen the amount of garbage that we will produce. We must segregate all our waste before throwing it and put aside the things that can still be used for other purposes like plastic bags, emtpty bottles, and etc....

"One man's junk is another man's treasure". I think that this is great but would it be much greater to say "My own junk, my treasure"? I think it is possible.

There are many ways that we can make these junks to be useful again. we just have to be creative and initiative. Or you can just follow what others are doing.

If You Don't Need it, then Dont buy it

If we buy and buy all the things we wanted to buy, then we will end up having more things that are useless and will be eventually be disposed.

If we can do all these, then I think we can be able to survive this problem.

Think, Act and Propagate.
