TSA Strikes Again
TSA Leaves Man Soaked in Urine
I just read about another display of atrocious behavior by the TSA. A new AP news story describes how a survivor of bladder cancer, while being searched by TSA officials, was left soaked in urine for his flight. The accident occurred as the TSA officials patted him down causing his urostomy bag to spill its contents on his clothing. Things are getting out of hand now. The groping of women's breast, the groping of genitals, the equivalent of molesting three year old girls, has to stop. This is a clear violation of our Fourth Amendment rights. The Fourth Amendment protects U.S. citizens against unreasonable searches and seizures.
The Michigan man had to fly with his clothes soaked in urine, as he had time to change his bag but not his clothing prior to his flight. AP reports this man was embarrassed to the point of tears. I would imagine so. The article also points out that he had advised the officials of his medical condition prior to the pat-down, but they were not interested or concerned.
TSA chief John Pistole had said earlier this week that he had "great concern over anybody who feels like they have not been treated properly or had something embarrassing happen". I am sure that concern made the traveler feel so much better. These abuses have got to stop. There has to be a better way to insure our travelers are safe.
There is a better way. We could learn from other countries, Israel in particular. They do background checks and use profiling and have a fantastic record for preventing terrorist. I know profiling is politically incorrect, but why is the groping of Grandma considered politically incorrect? Are we that sensitive? How many more people have to die in the name of political correctness before we have had enough?
