Tevya is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, January 1, 2017. Our dear friend, Wasp Tevya, is at the breakfast table this morning. Tevya has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. He has prepared potato pancakes with homemade apple sauce for your enjoyment. Please come over as quickly as possible. Tevya would like to share his thoughts about the outgoing president. He would also like to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Broken Promises

Thank you all for joining me this morning. In a matter of days, President Obama will step down as President of the United States. He leaves with a legacy of division, violence, false narratives and broken promises. Many of us will be glad to see him go. I am one of those who still doesn't know who this man is, where he came from, why he came, who created his image, and why the American people were so taken with someone they knew nothing about. I will never understand why the many questions raised about him were never truly answered. He was given a pass, perhaps, because no one wanted to insult the first black president. Now that he is going, we are left with his attempts to bring the kind of "change" to our nation that was most unwelcome. President-elect Trump will have his hands full the moment he steps into the Oval Office. President Obama is using his last days in office to insure that our next president will have a rough time. President Obama's behavior is unprecedented and unwelcome. He will definitely not go quietly into the night. He is sticking around, and that means trouble for all of us.

Source

Just Play Golf

If there was ever a time it would be best for the outgoing president to take to the greens it would be now. Instead, President Obama has decided to stick around, and through covert dealings and executive actions, put our nation at odds with our ally Israel and in tune with the thugs who run the United Nations. Instead of teeing off, Obama has decided to tick us all off. In his final days, he has taken action that will not allow any new mining or oil and gas development in sites in Nevada and Utah. He pulled this off by designating two sites in these states as national monuments. The federal government now owns even more land. Of course, there will always be people who approve of this move, but they are special interest groups. This move is just another display of this president's disdain for the wishes of the American people. Along with this move, President Obama managed to stop new oil drilling int the Arctic Ocean and areas outside of Yellowstone National Park. His actions are excessive and unwelcome. An energy independent America is not at the top of his wish list. Congress and our new president are going to have their work cut out for them.

Wasting Our Money

The Obama's spent tons of money during these last eight years, much of it ours, on lavish vacations. His apology tour must have cost a pretty penny, as well, but on and on he went apologizing to our enemies and turning off our friends. He did so in the tackiest of ways embarrassing all of us in the eyes of the world. He treated our allies with major disrespect. When he returned the bust of Winston Churchill to England, most normal people were horrified. When he left Prime Minister Netanyahu stewing by himself in the White House while the Obama's chowed down, he embarrassed all of us. When he tossed Congress into the weeds, and started ruling by executive fiat, he trashed our system of government and weakened us from within. He spent our money like it was his personal piggy bank, leaving us with a staggering national debt that our grandkids will have to pay for. President-elect Trump has a lot of work to do.

Source

Failing Grade

These past eight years have cost our nation money, respect, standing, safety and advancement in terms of jobs and prosperity. The Obama's lived like kings and queens while so many of us wondered if we would have jobs in the morning. Judging by the harm he has already caused, his last days in office will be very dangerous for our nation. He has nothing to lose, so his true colors are coming out in full force. His trashing of our relationship with Israel is something he wanted to do all along. The only reason he held back, to a certain degree, was because of political repercussions. He doesn't have to care about that anymore, so the man no one really knew is fulfilling the dreams of his father, a father who did not love America or its allies. Obama and his legacy of divisiveness will be in President Trump's back door. The man who would be king has made it quite clear that he is sticking around. He will spend his time gumming up the works, criticizing the government and recruiting little Al Sharptons to disrupt the nation. President Trump will have his work cut out for him. I hope this nation gives him a chance to reset our future and undue the pain of the last eight years. God Bless America!

Tevya's Song

Dear God, you made so many leftists

It's not a shame to be a leftist

But it's no great honor either!

January 20th can't come soon enough. Amazing how the last 8 years he spent weeks on vacation this time of year, couldn't keep him working. But now he is slithering his way into everything he possibly can before he heads out. What a disaster Trump has to clean up.

My wish for 2017 is that Trump has the patience, energy, and health because he is going to need it.

      Happy New Year

God morning. That is great from Fiddler on the Roof...

You are so right about this President. I believe history will not be kind to him. He will be rated as one of our worst President IMHO. Happy New Year!

      Good Morning Jack,

If history is untouched by those who seek to distort it, Obama will be, as you say, the worst president our nation has ever had. He will also capture the title of being the most disruptive post president we have ever had. As Tevya said, "we suffer, we suffer." See you at the Inn.

      Good Morning Jennifer,

Never before have his true colors been more evident. He ruined the last eight years, and now he is going full speed ahead to ruin the last 3 weeks. I wish he would just go home, wherever that is! Happy New Year and see you at the Inn.

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope and pray that our new President will be able to undo at least some of the damage Obama has caused our country.

The question is was this damage done on purpose or through ignorance? I have always believed, and still do that Obama was a puppet president who danced to the desires of others. Exactly who these others are I don't know, but have my suspicions.

Lets just hope that Trump can begin the healing process quickly once he is our real President. He has accomplished more as President Elect than Obama did in eight years so I have high hopes for him, and for us.

      So,

I was listening to cable TV last night, and happened to turn to the trailer portion of Madonna's "Rebel Heart Tour" and heard the old sixties song “One Tin Soldier Rides Away”. I tuned in right as the chorus portion (by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter) was playing:

“Go ahead and hate your neighbor

Go ahead and cheat a friend

Do it in the name of heaven

You can Justify it in the end

There won't be any trumpets blowing

      Come the judgment day

      On the bloody morning after

      One tin soldier rides away”

And I wondered, as we watch so many commentators try to cast those they side with as the enlightened mountain people, and those they disagree with as the uninformed people of the valley, will this become the legacy of the Obama years?

Old postman, it is clear to me that he is part of the elite class the likes of George Soros. He was a visitor to the Whitehouse on numerous occasions. His open society and globalist mentality is driving these changes for the worst. He is an anti-american and anti-capitalist who has made billion at the expense of the common people. He needs to be investigated for his part in the elections of past and his anti-american activities. He has also donated millions to fund these anarchist groups such as OWS and BLM...

      Good Morning, Mike,

Obama is a supreme narcissist, so this infantile and dangerous behavior is not surprising at all. It must have destroyed him to watch Osama killed, because in addition to being and ego maniac, his sympathies never were with America or its allies. He could hardly contain his disdain for Netanyahu, and his treatment of world leaders who we considered allies was deplorable. He is going soon, but not far enough away for me. As for President -elect Trump, I hope he keeps his promises and hangs in there. It is not going to be easy for him, because his enemies are preparing for a huge, brutal and continuous fight. Meet me at the Inn and we 'll drink a toast to a great 2017.

      Good morning FitnezzJim,

Obama's legacy will be one of utter failure, contempt for America and for our allies. He had to restrain himself somewhat during the last eight years, but not enough to stop the harm he has caused. If only this tin soldier were riding away. Instead, he is building a camp to groom future troublemakers. See you at the Inn.

      Happy New Year !!!

19 days and a wake-up and a new day will dawn in an America with the promise of rejuvenation...Like Americans have always done, meeting the challenges with intelligence and hard work...Roll up your sleeves, America, we are going to work again, we are going to make America safe again, we are going to make America great again !!!

I guess my only concern is that Trump falls under the irresistible Sirens song of Washington DC that has corrupted so many others that have entered that city with high hopes, determined to change the system, and fallen under it's incestuous lullaby...

The first 100 days will tell the tale...Either America throws off the shackles of PC, the tyranny of the cabinet level bureaucracies, the explicit stupidity of racial divisiveness, and the baffling presence of an ideology over what is best for Americans, or we continue down the road of failed moral relativism, crony capitalism, and all the other "isms" that have divided and reduced the basic values most Americans live by...

See you at the Inn for some American adult beverage, like Jack Danials...

Oz, if that was true, and how would you know it? From Australia...people here in the US votes with their pocket book. You don't need the DLS to tell you the employment rate is good, you see it with your neighbors and your malls and your teenage kids, and it is not pretty. We have 95 million people out of the work force out of a population of 324 million.

We have 18 days of hell until Obama is gone. In those 18 days, he will continue to destroy our America. Meeting with Nancy Pelosi and the gang to brainstorm how to keep Obamacare alive is just one way he will keep destroying us. Pardoning Bergdahl and Clinton will be another. The only thing that Trump cannot reverse is the UN resolution that passed. But, the master negotiator that Trump is, he will find a way. Unfortunately the good things that Trump is doing before he even takes office is really angering Obama, and it will be hell until the 20th.

On the 20th, I will be attending an "adorable Deplorable" brunch to watch the inauguration . Dems not invited! It will be a great 2017. I wonder how the Dems will feel when more people are working, and their taxes are lower. That should shut them up, but it won't.

My potato pancakes are getting cold, so I must go.......

      Good Morning maven,

What a pleasure it is to see you at the breakfast table. I have a good feeling about America under Trump and his team. This is a do or die moment in our history. The left will be hovering nearby under the thumb of Obama to gum up the works and keep the indoctrination of our citizens going. We are going to have to be strong and smart to beat them at their own pathetic game. I think we are up to the task. See you at the Inn, maven. I really want to catch up. Happy New Year!

pop & Tevya.....18 days & counting. Whew! Why does it feel like time is simply not passing quickly enough? Just a brief look back & it feels like we've been struggling to this point for far too long!

Here where we should be at last, this last stretch is a doozy! Aside from holding the distinction as our first black president, it's clear Obama's legacy will simply grace the Hall of Shame. I'm not surprised he's leaving like an angry, rebellious adolescent~~needing to put on a show, pulling a tantrum by breaking a few windows in protest.

He came barging in like a punk with a chip on his shoulder.....slashed a few tires & dirtied the white house walls with graffiti. Not a damned thing to be proud of.

Barack old buddy, here's your hat (or is that "hate?") what's your hurry? Take your gang of thugs with you. So Long!

I find it very sad that Obama is missing no opportunity to make things more difficult for Trump when he takes over.

These actions alone should tell us exactly how much Obama really hates this country. My hope is that he will eventually cross the line and do something he may later regret.

I'm sure that Obama knows that Trump will soon show the world what a failure he was in the eight years he has been our President.

We hired him for the most foolish or reasons:

      1) He's black

      2) He delivers a great speech

      3) He's nice looking

      4) He went to Harvard and he's a lawyer.

That's all we really knew about him but he was elected anyway and we got what we deserved...8 years of dismal failure, a far more dangerous world, a health care law that has never been popular, and a massive new government. Let that be a lesson to us all.

One thing for sure, Obama is not walking into the sunset. He and Michelle will be residing in DC where he can remain a trouble maker. We've not seen the last of him.

As for our debt, I won't defend Obama's extravagance or cost to taxpaers by his evil deeds, but when he took office in 2008, we already had a staggering debt for our grandchildren to pay. Now it will reach to our great-grands and great great grands.

It will be interesting to see how Trump fares. I doubt he'll make America great again, as Obama pulled us down too low, but if he can make a dent in our debt, and earn us back our former reputation as a world power, and have our allies respect again, and make our citizens safer from terrorism, he will have done a good job.

      Good Morning lamb servant,

I think Trump will get moving immediately to turn things around. He hasn't been sworn in, and he has already had a good impact. He is surrounding himself with truly talented men and women, which is everything in terms of success. Obama relied only on Valerie Jarrett, which accounts for the mess we are in. See you at the Inn.
