Tevya is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, January 1, 2017. Our dear friend, Wasp Tevya, is at the breakfast table this morning. Tevya has asked for the pleasure of your company this morning. He has prepared potato pancakes with homemade apple sauce for your enjoyment. Please come over as quickly as possible. Tevya would like to share his thoughts about the outgoing president. He would also like to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Broken Promises

Thank you all for joining me this morning. In a matter of days, President Obama will step down as President of the United States. He leaves with a legacy of division, violence, false narratives and broken promises. Many of us will be glad to see him go. I am one of those who still doesn't know who this man is, where he came from, why he came, who created his image, and why the American people were so taken with someone they knew nothing about. I will never understand why the many questions raised about him were never truly answered. He was given a pass, perhaps, because no one wanted to insult the first black president. Now that he is going, we are left with his attempts to bring the kind of "change" to our nation that was most unwelcome. President-elect Trump will have his hands full the moment he steps into the Oval Office. President Obama is using his last days in office to insure that our next president will have a rough time. President Obama's behavior is unprecedented and unwelcome. He will definitely not go quietly into the night. He is sticking around, and that means trouble for all of us.

Just Play Golf

If there was ever a time it would be best for the outgoing president to take to the greens it would be now. Instead, President Obama has decided to stick around, and through covert dealings and executive actions, put our nation at odds with our ally Israel and in tune with the thugs who run the United Nations. Instead of teeing off, Obama has decided to tick us all off. In his final days, he has taken action that will not allow any new mining or oil and gas development in sites in Nevada and Utah. He pulled this off by designating two sites in these states as national monuments. The federal government now owns even more land. Of course, there will always be people who approve of this move, but they are special interest groups. This move is just another display of this president's disdain for the wishes of the American people. Along with this move, President Obama managed to stop new oil drilling int the Arctic Ocean and areas outside of Yellowstone National Park. His actions are excessive and unwelcome. An energy independent America is not at the top of his wish list. Congress and our new president are going to have their work cut out for them.

Wasting Our Money

The Obama's spent tons of money during these last eight years, much of it ours, on lavish vacations. His apology tour must have cost a pretty penny, as well, but on and on he went apologizing to our enemies and turning off our friends. He did so in the tackiest of ways embarrassing all of us in the eyes of the world. He treated our allies with major disrespect. When he returned the bust of Winston Churchill to England, most normal people were horrified. When he left Prime Minister Netanyahu stewing by himself in the White House while the Obama's chowed down, he embarrassed all of us. When he tossed Congress into the weeds, and started ruling by executive fiat, he trashed our system of government and weakened us from within. He spent our money like it was his personal piggy bank, leaving us with a staggering national debt that our grandkids will have to pay for. President-elect Trump has a lot of work to do.

Failing Grade

These past eight years have cost our nation money, respect, standing, safety and advancement in terms of jobs and prosperity. The Obama's lived like kings and queens while so many of us wondered if we would have jobs in the morning. Judging by the harm he has already caused, his last days in office will be very dangerous for our nation. He has nothing to lose, so his true colors are coming out in full force. His trashing of our relationship with Israel is something he wanted to do all along. The only reason he held back, to a certain degree, was because of political repercussions. He doesn't have to care about that anymore, so the man no one really knew is fulfilling the dreams of his father, a father who did not love America or its allies. Obama and his legacy of divisiveness will be in President Trump's back door. The man who would be king has made it quite clear that he is sticking around. He will spend his time gumming up the works, criticizing the government and recruiting little Al Sharptons to disrupt the nation. President Trump will have his work cut out for him. I hope this nation gives him a chance to reset our future and undue the pain of the last eight years. God Bless America!

Tevya's Song

Dear God, you made so many leftists

It's not a shame to be a leftist

But it's no great honor either!
