What Is Congress Waiting For
For 24 days the Federal Government has been shut down leaving 800,00 federal workers working without a paycheck because of the president of the United States. Donald Trump the president of the United States is holding 800 thousand federal workers as hostages to get what he wants from Pelosi and Schumer.
Trump doesn't care that 800,00 are struggling to survive over a wall that he never intended to build. Airports are being affected, workers are calling out sick families are worried about there mortgages, their bills, and food because of Trump. Two weeks ago Trump was going to sign a temporary bill until February but after listening to Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter Trump refused to sign the bill preventing the shutout. Ann Coulter said in the 2020 campaign she would not support Trump unless he comes through with the wall he promised.
The president last week hired seventeen lawyers preparing themselves for the finding of Robert Mueller report. Trump hiring new lawyers and thousands are wondering, when can they go back to work. What is the role of Congress?
Under the Constitution, Congress has the authority to pass a spending bill to end the Government shutout without President Trump but Mitch McConnell won't let the Senate vote on anything that Trump won't sign.
As bad as this is Democrats can't give in to Trump every time he threw a temper tantrum, using blackmail to get what he wants or they will defeat the purpose. In a meeting with Pelosi, Pence, and Schumer Trump said he was proud to shut the government down, and it belongs to him. Trump doesn't care about his supporters who voted for him hoping he was the right person, I am sure some of you are wondering if you can pay your bills or where your next meal coming from. Trump main agenda is people like AnnCoulter, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
