What is to Be
Inevitable Change
Living high, newly free, saunter city jauntily
Cruising eyes land, yeah, on me
Hope eternal without chains to flee
I knew not yet what was to be
------------------------------------------
On wings and a prayer I fly carefree
But life collects its due reciprocity
Work and a roof, no guarantee
I knew not yet what was to be
------------------------------------------
Trust in karma, the powers that be
Looked on me kindly, caressed gently
Blinded by false sense of security
I knew not yet what was to be
-------------------------------------------
Doors slammed and I had no key
Stranger in a foreign land of anomaly
My path not straight, but I could see
I knew not yet what was to be
--------------------------------------------
The moon and tides hold destiny
Where once a friend, now enemy
Pulling me down, lost to the sea
I knew not yet what was to be
-------------------------------------------
Confidence replaced with fragility
Planets align deigning instability
Control just a remote ideology
No one knows what is to be
------------------------------------------
