There are competing paths for our energy future. The first is the same model that we have been usin
What is the future of alternative energy in the US?
The power and energy monopolists will continue to drag their feet and obstruct progress and implementation of renewable energy as long as possible.
Once the demand becomes overwhelming, they will take the necessary steps to make sure that all sources of renewable energy are under their control. This process is already underway.
Their pet politicians will pass legislation prohibiting the ownership and operation of any equipment and/or hardware for the purpose of generating electricity by private citizens.
They will receive massive government subsidies, taxpayers money, to build and operate huge, centralized solar, wind and geothermal power plants.
We will continue to pay exorbitant fees for energy to the same companies that are robbing us now. The primary difference will be that, once the initial expense of building the facilities has been covered, and most of it will be paid for by the public, the fuel for the generation of electricity will cost the industry nothing.
Sunlight does not have to be extracted from the earth, refined, processed or shipped over thousands of miles to the generating facility. Likewise wind and geothermal.
The bottom line is simply this; whatever the sources of our energy in the future, they will be owned and controlled by kapitalist korporations to ensure the continued dominance of the wealthy elite, the top one of two percent.
There is a ruling class in amerika and they will stop at nothing to secure their supremacy.
