Is this more vacuous right-wing rhetoric, or was he serious about cutting FEMA? He can't win either way.
If he admits to wanting to do this, he will look like a fool in the face of a national disaster. If he doesn't admit to wanting to cut FEMA, the Republican base will scold him for not being serious about cutting spending. So Romney's only options are looking foolish, or risk losing support from his most ardent GOP supporters. Either option does him no good.

Inquiring minds want to know... Has anyone changed their opinion of Donald Trump for whatever reason? I know he's lost a few supporters, but not very many; and it seems like we might be getting used to Trump's cadence....
