Do you think this small leak is a Trump's campaign strategy to kill the issue? Or, do you think this is only a preview of what's to come soon to attack him?

I really don't have any idea where the leak came from. I almost feel like speculation has gone on for so long now that if his taxes are released, many people will not be surprised at the revelations, no matter how horrific they might be.

Kind of like how he can now say anything and a certain segment of the electorate doesn't care.

In her OP, she referred to a "small leak." I just used the same terminology.

I'm lost.  Haven't heard a thing except about his SEC filing in '81.

I'm not a tax accountant but my accountant has told me a loss on one year can only be used over the next three years.

Damn. I can't see this thread as anything but another left or right attempt to sway people without reality to back them up.

"Howard Abrams, the director of tax programs at the University of San Diego School of Law, confirmed that tax law allows losses of this size to be applied to returns three years prior to the loss and then for next 15 years. As a result, Trump would have potentially paid no taxes for an 18-year period.

Abrams said Trump could likely have claimed losses so massive by taking advantage of tax loopholes available only to those in the real estate industry.

"The real estate industry has been very effective in lobbying Congress," he said. "You can have a huge tax loss in a year when your actual loss is very little or nonexistent."

Do any of us have an accountant who says 'Here's a tax break, but I'm not going to apply it to your return.'?

If the law allowed it, (I'm not saying it doesn't disgust me) he hasn't done anything wrong.

You have no idea how hard I'm laughing right now. A Hillary defender getting upset because someone else was operating within the boundaries of the law but not understanding, indignation when she skirts the law.

Where have I said anything against Donald taking legal tax deductions? I merely corrected your factual error. In fact, in another thread I said I don't give a rat's rectum about his taxes.

Are you currently in possession of a rat's rectum you could give away if you so chose? If so, may I inquire as to why?

I was yesterday when my cat drug it in.

Are you still laughing at my nonexistent outrage over Trump's legal tax deductions?

I asked a question (of a relevant issue) based on what was published by most major news outlets, including FOX.

Maybe the whole analysis (if Trump -or a leak- releases his taxes) would result to be irrelevant. But for now, it can only be speculation.

However, dismiss the information without even reading/knowing what the law and experts say... that is an argument without reality to back it up.

Interesting that the  entire collective depth of the liberal minds can see the discrepancies in the Trump business tax games  - BUT are perfectly willing to  forego Hilary's mountainous tax scams and cheats !

    How incredibly deep !

Interesting. The Clintons have made 30 years of tax returns available to the public. Are they being investigated for tax crimes? I haven't heard about that.

Even MORE Interesting? 2015 TAX Returns REVEAL HIllary PAID Approx 3.5 MILLION Dollars in TAXEs at a RATE of 34% ~ Her "Monetary CONTRIBUTIONs" to the "Financial WELL Being" of the United States is SIGNIFICANT & Appreciated ~ smile

To my KNOWLEDGE, the LAST Set of TAX Returns from Trump REVEAL he PAID ZERO in Fed TAXEs which makes him a FREE-Loader by the very DEFINITION ~ sad ~

Should "WE the PEOPLE" BAN him from OUR Airports, or Interrupt Mail Delivery, or Compel him to Drive his Vehicle on the Adjacent "DIRT Road" until he "COUGHs Up" some CASH for the Priviledge of LIVING in this Great Country he "BASHEs" every Chance he GETs ?? ~ sad

I am not happy that Trump gets away with paying no federal taxes, but it is a problem with our tax code more than a problem with Donald. We have plenty of other reasons to not want Little Donnie in the oval office, though.

If Trump becomes president the billions of earthquake relief money that was raised to help the people of Haiti, that the Clintons lined their pockets with and those people that supported them will be investigated (Clinton Foundation).

Only about 2% of the relief money went to the people of Haiti. People are still living in make shift dwellings without water, under very poor conditions.

Gary Heavin and his wife feed about 10,000 children in Haiti everyday. Sean Penn, spends his time with hands on help in Haiti and I heard Mr. Heavin say that, Mr. Penn gave 1/3 of his wealth to help in Haiti.

But, what happened to the billions the Clinton Foundation took in?

I watched a U Tube accounting of why the FBI  , although certainly could and should ,  won't prosecute  Hilary for her private server ,  Because in the investigation of her E- Mails , there are also E Mails from Pres. Obama  on her server !

Meaning , if they prosecute her , they include Obama's  failures in oversight of his State Dept. .

That cannot happen , Obama  won't let it  AND Comey works for who ?

Its fairly clear that Obama used a pseudonym in emails with Hillary.

Huma Abedin said, “How is this not classified?” before she asked for a copy of the email herself.
