How did modern Conservatism Become more progressive than Liberalism ?

   In America ;
   You've got to admit ,When you open the dictionary to progressive you see a picture of a Republican , the picture may even resemble ahorseback ,.....;-}    Today liberals have morphed into new and improved political understanding  and group think  , whether they like that image or not , Here's the bottom line look in the dictionary again and search out obstructionism and there is the picture of today's American Democrat  .
   
   The times they are a changing ?

      Given that "progressive" mostly means an continued expansion of the entitlement system, then it's pretty simple.  People have figured out that they can vote themselves "bread and circuses" at the expense of someone else.

      Easy answer. Libertarian billionaires (i.e., the Koch brothers) have hijacked the Republican Party with massive campaign funds and organizations. It's one of the many reasons why so many true Republicans have left the party.

         Oh I see , thank you for explaining that ...........Not !  Question ,Just how is it  anyway that liberals can "pull the wool over their own eye's" so handily ?    A little advice anyway,  believe all the lies you want but I would strongly advise NOT trying to make truthers believe such nonsense ,  we are actually smarter than liberals  who follow their leaders like sight challenged sheep  over a cliff.

               Here's the real reason republicans left their  party ,For  the very same reason so many democrats failed to coronate Hilary ;    both left their parties in order to  elect a washington  outsider for our nation's leadership  , something entirely missing in the last eight years . Now , the establishment right and the  left are crying foul like little kiddies who  couldn't get  chosen  to play dodge- ball on the playground  if they brought their own ball .
               
               Center America , right and left , actually recognizes true leadership qualities when it see's it , advice to you on the far right AND far left -----look,  listen and learn.

                  I agree that many moderate Democrats left the party because it went too far left just as many moderate Republicans left because it went too far right.
                  
                  But studies show that the Republican party has lost a lot more members than the Democrats.

      I see conservatism as currently practiced in this country as regressive, putting the caprice of the privileged few over the rest of us. Plutocracy, aristocracy, a greedy arrogant bourgeoisie that know no limits. A philosophy that will allow for the destruction of everything so that the privileged few can continue to line their pockets. The tragedy is all the dupes that are without that will hang themseves before they would admit it. Trump is the very personification of this in all of its glory

         Large scale:  The Federal Reserve serves no purpose except to protect the speculators. Central banks have done enough damage.  We need privet banks running the government.  If we don't do something about the Fed, then its going to remain in control after a collapse.
         
         Smaller scale:  Democrat in name only Mayors need to quit funneling federal funds to sanctuary cities, and start caring for its own citizens.

         Oh , here we go again with the one percenter evil rich  man syndrome  where lazy rich people who do nothing and did nothing to earn it are stealing the poor mans money again  and again and again ................. does  that include the Clintons ,the  Obama's ,  the Soro's ,  the Sharpton's or does that whole rich man poor man thing only apply for conservatives ?
