Will There Be Adequate Healthcare While Languishing In Prison?
The healthcare in prison is better than some of the general public can afford. Seems a bit ironic that those guilty of a crime and incarcerated receive better healthcare than many of the general population who have committed no crimes.
U can bet that someone is making money by keeping the prisoners healthy so they will not be taken to a hospital outside of the prison walls for their heathcare.I've read a story that said there was colusion between some judges and privately owned prisons that these judges had a financial interest in.They got caught because minor children who were under the age of consent who committed minor offences were given not only prison time but unusually long prison sentences for their misdomeanor crimes.
In New York state, no prisoner can be denied health care or medication during their term in prison. This includes those prisoners who may need surgery or those who may require a transplant. The truth in this state is that prisoners have better medical coverage than alot of the taxpayers.
