At the moment, I feel there are a lot of people who feel anxious and scared about Islam and Islamic people. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about Islam (e.g. all terrorists are Islamic, all Islamic people support terrorism, suicide bombings etc), and for these reasons I feel it is unlikely there will be an Islamic president anytime soon. (I am assuming you mean American president by the way, there are already Islamic presidents in other countries).

JFK showed that how. As long as that proponents is not extreme and possess remarkable with and public charisma, he may stand a chance.

I think that the chances are extremely slim due to the negativity and public perception associated with Islam.
