How can anyone be for reducing carbon emissions and energy independence while banning the disposal of nuclear waste? Well president Obama and the Democrats are. Construction will soon be halted on a facility to receive nuclear waste from nuclear generating plants, effectively stopping on of the best non carbon producing means there is for producing electricity.
These are the same people who point to countries such as France and tell us how low the carbon footprint of France is.
Well the one big reason France has such a low carbon footprint is that France generates 75% of its electricity from nuclear power.
So lets get this straight. The current regime wants the U.S to reduce emissions in 2050 by 80% of what they were 2000. Meanwhile the population is projected to grow by 146,000,000 from 300,000,000 to 460,000,000, and they are about to prevent the completion of a nuclear disposal site. It seems they have just made the job more than impossible. They have made it absurd. What say you?
War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength. I used to believe that sort of thinking only existed in books, but we see it live and in color with the collectivists in the Demopublican party. It's just another attempt to control the economic life of the nation. If you control the economy, you control the people. It's all about naked power and ambition.
