How important is the trucking industry to the average citizen in the USA? Why?
Extremely important because since the railroads have over the years become a lesser mode of transportation of goods, the trucking industry has increased as the process for delivering goods throughout the US. Without them, the mail stops, the grocery stores go back to local mercantiles.
