    as far as i know, france hasn't has any influence in quebec in a very long time. quebec french isn't even the same language as france's. the only influence quebec has is from the mafia.

    I would say France has a total different langauge. They have taken many words from the english langauge. Examples week end and shopping. In Québec they have created new words, for weekend it is fin semaine and shopping is magasiner. I believe that France still has some influence on the Quebec culture such as music,art,and food. I think France tends to look towards their cousins the Québecois in the flim,arts and specialty foods such as smoked meat and maple syrup. Politicals the last time i was in France the big hype in the south of France was Québecs' wonderful medical system. The other day I had a couple from France that moved from France to Quebec because they believe that Quebec has preserved the french culture more then France.
