Do you think John McCain's comments about the border fires in Arizona or off base or on the mark?
The Monument park was closed on 9th - fire started on the 12th Monument Fire was "started at the end of the the border fence of a high-intensity, drug- and human-trafficking corridor inside a park that was closed for days.
My wife and I live one mile from the border and a few miles east of where the fire started. Living in this area, you come to know for a fact that every mountain chain in the area is riddled with cartel types more than willing to kill and/or destroy at the drop of a mesquite bean. Anything is possible, but the odds of John McCain having it right are as high as our recent 100 degree temperatures.
Thanks Ghost. I live 7 miles from the fire. I hate it when east coast newspapers paint a picture of McCain as a dottering old fool - well OK even old fools are right sometimes.
Oh wow! I do not have an answer but just here to say I'd not heard McCain had said this and to know that Ghost here is of the opinion that this could well be the case sure is a serious concern. I'm glad you posted this good question, ptosis!

Arizona RepublicIt won't sit well with the "they's all illegals" crowd, but this is what effective, humane immigration policy sprouts from.

Don't you wish Obama was defending Arizona the way he is defending Libya? Here he is worried about rebels being harmed, some might be terrorists and he's raking Arizona over the coals for trying to make sure the feds enforce our own laws and keep illegals over on the other side of the border where...

In my humble opinion, the Arizona immigration law is not racist. I'll tell you why. Yes, and this cannot be argued, most illegal immigrants in Arizona are Hispanic, but the law targets illegal immigrants, not illegal Hispanic immigrants. As a worker in a bank, I help illegal immigrants all the time...

And I have an opinion on why. I would love to be wrong, but I just don't see this ever happening. IMOReason why:Illegals in America = Cheaper labor cost.American Business is all about profit. When a business can pay less for labor then the profits rise so that is the way it will go. Illegal workers...
