Capitalism is not a political system, but an economic system.
Not in the state in which we currently find it. I would argue capitalism no longer exists; we have international corporatism. That is a fusion of government and big business controlling markets and thus preventing the creative destruction that makes capitalism so successful. What we're seeing was predicted more closely by Joseph Schumpeter than Karl Marx.
