What do you think of the Occupy Movement?

Occupy Albany, NY is totally a peace movement.

I think it is a bit silly.  I'd like to know what exactly everyone is protesting for.  What do they really want to have happen?  I don't like the fact that they have been destructive at times and interferred with people who are trying to go to work and do their jobs.

I consider them to be a bunch of people bitching with no clear cut direction. They are opposed to big business and greed. I am not happy with corporate greed but I am not going to sit in a park all day complaining. It doesn't accomplish anything.

the concept is cool but that's about it. too many of the protesters weren't even there for anything other then being there. the rich honestly don't care what the poor have to say and nothing will change, if anything they just made the rich even more powerful. plus why are people protesting corporations using things like iphones, blackberry's , facebook etc, those are all controlled by corporations. rediculous.

I was so shocked by these answers. I kept thinking... do some live in a box and just do not know what is going on in the world? Millions of people are out of work and millions more are working two franchise store jobs at low pay just to pay the rent. In NY State rent is nearly $1,000 a month upstate and 2-3,000 a month in NYC. Utilities can go as high as $2-300 a month and up. No wonder 1 in 3 American children live in poverty.
The Occupy movement is protesting the corporate take over of America that is bringing about this enormous financial inequality. The people who work the most hours have the least. I think some need to wake up. Poor people work...duh, that is the problem. These folks work constantly just to keep a roof over their head.
As far as the occupiers they work as well. In Albany, NY we have writers, journalists, nurses, lawyers, state workers, teachers, and college students. They are not camping. They are PROTESTING!
One Saturday I was at Occupy Albany and an ignorant guy yeld out of his car,"Get a Job." I remember thinking that the ignorant fool just yelled that at an author of three novels and a RN (nurse) who just finished a shift at the local ER. Think and learn before you judge.
