When and where was Germany's first Holocaust?
Germany had developed a pattern for the later holocaust, and it is well known, but what is not widely known is the first holocaust and the reason for it.
Interesting, I was unaware but a quick google search on this subject brought me to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website. What I can tell is that the first Holocaust was what they referred to as a "Euthanasia program" which started 2 years prior to the Holocaust that we all studied and learned about in school. It's target was mentally and physically disabled individuals that were living in institutions. This was their first attempt at creating the perfect race. Upon further reading then they targeted children that were handicapped that were not living in institutions and targeted children under the age of 3. They would be sent to "special" clinics and they were killed by overdose or other methods. It's interesting the things you never learn in school.
There was one during the First Crusade in the late 11th Century. As the Frankish lords gathered their armies to move east, the Germans began systematically slaughtering the Jews in their Principalities. This was even called a Holocaust.
