Was George Zimmerman acting in self-defense?

Trayvon Martin was a teenager that lost his life on February 26, 2012. Armed with a bag of skittles and an iced tea, Trayvon was shot dead by George Zimmerman who thought the teenager was 'up to no good'.  George Zimmerman claimed he was in fear for his life when he shot the teenager.  Do you think George Zimmerman acted in self-defense?

This Act ... seems to be the Manifestation, of Social Violence, in a Direction-less Society ... its juveniles ...  Acting out, what the Media, hath Taught them to be  ... the Jury, Judge and Executioners ... belonging to a Superior brand, of humans

For Zimmerman "sees" it ... being done ... daily and nightly ... by his very far sighted ... Wise government ... its cowardly proxies and lackeys ... outside ... the United States .. on a daily basis ... as "Pre-Emptive" Strikes ...

Seeing ... the Pre-emptive striking, of innocent Civilians ... killing and maiming ... casualties being called ... "Collateral Damage" ... Men, Women and Children ... Killed and maimed ... by some Video game Players sitting in Atlanta ... playing the "Drones" Game for Corporations ... and no one to question, their senseless Acts ... based in dubious ... Cash paid ... Intelligences.

If I were Shakespeare ... I would call it "Self-Offence" ... not "Self Defence" ...

Yes, I firmly believe that George Zimmerman shot and killed in Trayvon Martin in self-defense.

Because I have been in what could be described as very frightening situations numerous times during my lifetime, I know that a myriad of circumstances can cause or prompt one to believe that his/her life or safety are being threatened.

Also, my attitude is I'd rather be judged by 12 than to be carried by six.

Self-defense against a 17 year old unarmed boy whose only crime was being born Black in America. How do you people sleep at night. The irony of slavery. If you have to be a slave master society enslave those who you naturally fear. A recipe for murde

I think he was acting is his delusional version of self-defence. He shot a kid that, supposedly, pushed him down and beat him. Well the next time someone shoves me, or threatens me, I'll just pull out my gun, kill him, and then nothing will happen to me. No judgment on Earth, Zimmerman will plead his case in the next.

No. Zimmerman is a known sociopath who should have gone down years ago on a felony attack against a police officer. He stalked and was the aggressor against an innocent 17 year old child.

I am sick of racists and liars who get off on killing innocent black and hispanic kids. There will be payback if too much more of this goes on and it will tear this country apart.

Zimmerman and his sick bunch of supporters actually had him all bloodied up the following day with fake "injuries" that never showed up on HDTV police station surveillance video!

Finally, Zimmerman is a known liar and the creep is in jail where he belongs. He needs to explain when he had his gun cocked and ready to kill.

As for Florida and other racist, scumbag states: you are no longer part of my nation if Zimmerman is not tried and sent to jail for 20 to life.
