Should a Christian be a politician?
There seems to be much debate about Christians and religion but should they be allowed to hold an office and vote their core beliefs? Just a simple yes or no is fine.
Yes, because if you judge based on belief you are not abiding to the laws of discrimination. Why is a christian person less suitable? Give me a solid reason? The key factors that should matter is if that person is fit to be a politician and understands the people, the needs and politics - and hopefully is at least somewhat honest....
I feel that church and state should be kept separate. I also feel that religious leaders shouldn't hold office. But in general, I don't think someones religious affiliation and beliefs should disqualify them for holding office. But those personal beliefs shouldn't cloud their judgment when it comes to making decisions that are best for the whole country.
Should a Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist or agnostic be a politician?
Politics is not for people who are sincere to their religion - this is my feelling with the politics which we see around. Honest politics no other polititian wants.. hence one would be just swiped from the platform.. any ways
