    Why is gender-based abortion an issue in Washington?

    I think abortion is naturally gender-based, and that no act of congress is likely to change that. After all, only women usually have them, which is about as gender-based as it gets, so why is Washington even worrying about this?

    It would have made it a crime for a doctor to knowingly perform an abortion if the mother was doing so based upon gender, race, etc. This isn't a real issue, it's another fake crisis invented by Liveaction similar to the ridiculous James O'keefe ACORN work. There is no real evidence that there is a gender bias in performed abortions in America. Most abortions happen before sex can even be determined. This is just another way for Conservatives to make a point by wasting everyone's time.
