Do you think the Federal Govt is responsible for Crony Capitalism?
The Federal Government is all about 'Crony Capitalism' and lets not forget Nepotism too... So they must be responsible... Their natural reaction is to take care of those who had taken care of them... Which is good for those select family and 'friends'... Not so good for the country.
I really doubt that your going to find someone who does not try to return the favor when someone helps them into political power. It is the way the world works. Though I do think that many other countries are much worse than the U.S. I actually expect this to happen. If I vote someone into office, I do so believing that it is going to have a benefit to me.
Absolutely....Our Government is all about glad handing and Quid Pro Quo
The presence of government almost ensures crony capitalism. Why invest in consumers when it's much more cost effective to lobby the government for subsidies and regulation of competition? For every million you give to government, you'll get 20 million back. Why even bother having sensible monetary policy when you can get bailed out if it goes wrong?
socialist establishment is what our Federal Government about. The Feds want to make sure that the flow of money keep going to the establishment cooperation like Oil, Bankers,Insurance, Pharmaceutical,Defenses Contractor or any other that get congress to pass a law so they can make money. is is against the Constitution but Congress do it any way. look what happen after the repeal of The Glass-Steagall Act. Banker rob the U S people, elite pocket the money and then get the Federal Government to give them back what someone pocket. wake up people and LETS TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT BACK FROM THESE CROOKS
Everything in Washington is for sale. Yes, of course government is responsible. Crony capitalism is nothing but influence peddling brought into the 21st century. It wouldn't exist were there no peddlers. Government has developed it into both an art form and big business.
Here is an opinion piece people should read. John Reed, the former chairman and CEO of Citibank is now a supporter of Glass-Steagall. A lot of the right wing stuff you hear that always blames something else rather than individuals who commit crimes is just smoke. I am not a liberal. Unfortunately or fortunately, the truth is out there - all that is needed is a consensus. I suggest reading http://www.wallstreetinsightsandindictm … evisiting/

I'm not attempting to swat a hornet's nest here. I just keep hearing the refrain "no government is good government" or words to that effect.According to the tea-party folks I've spoken to government is wasteful, bloated, and ineffectual. Which makes me wonder; where do we draw a line? Is...

As far as this whole Separation of Church and State thing in the United States is concerned, I personally believe that it is necessary. For example, the words “Separation of Church and State” are not physically found in the US Constitution. Yet it does say that, quote:“No law shall be passed...

How will capitalism evolve within the next 50 years? Will there be a further class divide than itis now? Will the middle class as we know it disappear, with a small upper class and a majority lower class?
