How do you think the fiscal cliff should be solved?
There seems to be no consensus in Congress on how to fix the fiscal cliff. There seems to be a willingness by both sides to go over the cliff and solve this in the new year. Republicans would rather go over the cliff and then cut taxes on the 98% of American. Democrats would like to do the same.
It should be solved through cooperation and compromise. Then again, we're talking about politicians aren't we.....
a balanced budget amendment.
raise the top two tax brackets by 2%
Close loopholes and exemptions on all but the lowest 2 tax brackets.
Lower the rates for the two lowest tax brackets.
Require everyone that files a tax return to pay at least $100. That way they have ownership.
Raise the retirement age for everyone under 40.
Require everyone to have a retirement account other than Social Security. Hey if we are forced to buy health insurance, we may as well require everyonne to have life insurance and a retirement account.
Cut medicare benefits for those under 55. Obama care should take care of them, shouldn't it?
